“Relaxing”

Exactly as advertised, the room where really spacious, clean and quiet. Dinner and breakfast were both really good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the private onsen and the music entertainment. Would definitely go again

Dinner and the breakfast buffet were great. We were greeted at the dinner table by English speaking staff, who guided us through the menu. Non-alcoholic drinks were available for free. The open air onsen was great.

“Amazing customer service from the hotel staff!”

The hotel’s location on the side of the valley, and the view from our bedroom window was beautiful. The food was absolutely incredible, every dish was perfectly presented and so flavoursome! The thing I loved the most though was the amazing and helpful staff, in all areas - the front reception desk team and the dining room staff and the shuttle bus drivers, and the staff member who brought us hot water to our room in the mornings - thank you!

“Amazing experience”

Amazing traditional ryokan, very aesthetic. Staff were nice, rooms were spacious and great with a kotatsu as well. Slept on a futon with this bead like pillow which I didn’t think I would like as I get migraines a lot from hard surfaces but I didn’t have any issues after waking up.

“Best hotel/short stay experience I have ever had”

Possibly the best hotel/ short stay experience I have ever had. The service was exceptional with excellent facilities to spend your time relaxing in - with a large beautiful lounge with a fire pit, live shamisen performances daily from 4pm to 6pm. The public onsen had incredible outdoor views with the terraced pools giving you an option to sit under cover or out in the elements (it was snowing during our visit so it was idyllic). With the additional option to rent out a private onsen also, you are spoiled for choice. The staff were incredibly helpful in suggesting activities and also providing information on how to use the local train services on the Aizu line to support our day trip to Ouchi-juku as well as our journey to our next destination. Helpful tip- you can pay for train tickets at Ashinomaki onsen station before or after a trip on the train, to save any stress or doubt over carrying the correct change coins (but make sure you have cash to cover all of it!)

The hotel offers excellent facilities and impressive design that blends perfectly with its surroundings. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful throughout the stay, making everything smooth and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the setting—nestled in nature—made the experience even more relaxing. A highlight was the option to reserve a private onsen for 40 minutes at a very reasonable price, adding a touch of luxury and privacy to an already wonderful stay.

We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

“Beautiful Ryokan and great service”

breakfast was good with quite a bit of choices. Was very surprised at how good the croissants were, as good as those I had before in Paris. Something different was the 'Egg fried rice' which was whipped egg whites on yummy rice and a raw yolk. Definitely should try the Outdoor bath, its beautiful.

“Not worth the money paid”

In the dinner, you gave me a narrow, shaking, extra table in a small Conner, while the other got a bigger table even though the number of people was the same. The location is so so.

“Absolutely amazing experience”

Simpy WOW! It is really an amazing place. We stayed there for one night just to get the experience in staying in a ryokan with onsen. We like anime so we chose this one as it has some features of Demon Slayer anime :) Room was amazing, sleeping on futons was really comfortable. Room was spacious. We were wearing yukatas during our stay and it was just amazing! Onsen was wonderful! And the dinner - OMG - super tasty! we felt really welcomed there and taken care of. One staff member who spoke English very well was explaining us what we were eating, how to cook different parts of the meal etc. It was so lovely. We really appreciate that! If we ever come to Japan again we will go there for sure.

“Relaxing stay in the Japanese mountains”

Beautiful location by the river, lovely Japanese style room, wonderfully relaxing private outdoor onsen which you can book for 45 minutes, amazing kaiseki evening meal. The evening shamisen performance was a nice touch. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, spoke English to us, and catered for my husband’s food allergy. Thanks so much for a delightful stay!

The onsen part of the bathhouse were really pleasant. The outer bath could make you really relaxed.
