“Wonderful hidden gem.”

The private onsen was amazing, the location next to the river was beautiful, the staff were incredibly lovely and welcoming, and did everything they could to accommodate you despite any language barriers. It was excellent value for money considering what was included in the price! The food was absolutely amazing as well! I wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely come to this place again.

The shared Onsen between hotels is great. Breakfast was good, good complementary details (lounge with free drinks and snacks), and various toiletery items in the room.

We were familiar with the area, so it was nice it was in a location that we knew. It was clean and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly. The rooms were comfortable.

“A beautiful stay in the mountains”

Our room looked out over a river and snowy little town. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the quilt…I wish I’d stayed another night. So soft, so light! They had a choice of pillows but the ones in the room were fine. I slept so well. The dinner was one of the best I have eaten in Japan. The dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious. The experience was topped off with great service. I don’t speak Japanese but they were very patient with my attempts and everything was explained. I loved the local delicacies featured on the menu. Breakfast was also impressive. Loved our stay and was fascinated by the history of the place. Thank you!

The parking was easy to find with great service. Reception English was excellent and checkin was easy. The room size, cleanliness and view are all exceptional.

Very nice and peaceful hotel. The staffs are helpful and are with great hospitality. The breakfast and dinner was very amazing. The onsen are very private. I rent a car. There are a lot of parking lots provided free of charges, but locate a bit towards the hill (not at the hotel lobby/front). You may need to temporary park a car at the hotel lobby to unload the luggage or let someone to check in first.

All the food was amazing, buffet style breakfast is so diverse - there's seriously a little bit of everything. I found myself making sure I was as hungry as possible to give my best attempt to try it all! The staff were so helpful, we are so appreciative of everyone putting up with the language barrier and really making sure we were having the best time and we knew which bus to take. Highly recommend the set dinner as well, very good value for money. Best dining experience I've ever had, all the dishes were presented amazingly. The seasonal sides were a nice touch and the Sake went down very well. Location is great, all the baths were very relaxing. We stayed on the 5th floor facing the river which added to the tranquility. This is my second time going to a traditional Ryokan Onsen town, first time at a hotel and it's something everyone should do, it resets you, grounds you and brings you back to reality with a new spring in your step, life can be so simple and there's nothing that makes you feel this more, than a few "stripped back" days in an Onsen town.

Breakfast: Excellent buffet spread in a lovely restaurant. Sit next to the windows for a great view of the town Facilities: Four different hot spring facilities to use, the air baths were clean and comfortable to use, 2 of which had great views of the river.
