1 Star for Booking, 5 Starts for the manager and the resort. Muthu Mara River Lodge is now closed. We booked on Booking and got notified by our local guide/driver that the hotel was closed. We called Booking Customer Service the night before but no one was able to assist us until we reached the hotel at the check-in time and the reception confirmed the resort was truly closed (an impossible request as the contact number was not picking up). Six people on a 5hrs drive only to be able to prove Booking.com we needed assistance. That was a nightmare. Thanks to our local guide, we contacted another resort owned by the same manager, who kindly agreed on letting us stay there for the night. Muthu Keekorok Resort was wonderful, good position, good food, amazing staff and beautiful rooms.

“Delightful overnight stay. Highly recommend.”
We stayed here overnight with an early start to the Mara Triangle. Lots of game on the way in. Highly recommend. Especially as it is so expensive now for Foreigners to enter and camp in the Mara.
