“Wonderful!”

In an ancient Kasbah, candle lights, starry sky, lovely dinner waiting for us. Not your usual easy location, be prepared to walk unpaved alleys and cross the stream over planks (although you can also cross the main bridge, just a bit longer way) so bring as little as possible. The experience of the kasbah, the beautiful decor, the possibility of wandering the little streets before there are too many people, wonderful! Candle lights mostly, but there is electricity for charging phones, and there is light where needed. Just not really needed, and you can see the stars!

It was an amazing experience to stay within the walls of Ait Benhaddou itself, and to have it nearly to ourselves after the day-trippers had gone, and the Kasbah was really special - we were given a box of candles and matches to light the room (there are some electrical outlets for basic charging, but otherwise it is off-grid), which made for an atmospheric stay. We booked a family suite, which had two separate bedrooms, living space, access to a terrace, and private bathroom with a very good shower. Dinner was served on the downstairs terrace overlooking the city walls and river, and was absolutely delicious (chocolate dessert went down very well with our son). The staff were lovely and so kind with our son. A really very special stay, thank you.

Very cool atmosphere, food was delicious. Would stay again. If you ride an adventure bike you can skip parking in the carpark in town and ride all the way to the front door.

The single rooms have amazing views. Mine even had a light and a working electricity socket. This place was super atmospheric. Ahmed helped to bring my suitcase over the river with a mule.

You could come to Ait BenHaddou for a few hours, walk around this amazing village and leave.. but why would you do that when you could stay overnight at the Kasbah Tebi and have one of the most unique and memorable stays of your life! This Kasbah was stunning, exploring it at night by candle light was truly special. Mohamed and staff were super friendly and attentive. Make sure you book the home cooked dinner, some of the best food we have eaten on our trip.

“Authentic and beautiful stay in the heart of Ait Ben Haddou”

This is a beautiful, quiet and authentic place to stay right in the heart of Ait Ben Haddou. Thanks to its excellent location, we were able to enjoy the village peacefully in the evening after most of the tourists had left, which made the experience even more special. The property is very nicely decorated and full of character. The staff were helpful and attentive throughout our stay, and we also received clear and useful instructions before arrival, which made everything very easy. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this place.

“Embrace the charm of the stay”

Excellent location inside Ait Benhaddou. Perfect if you want to wake up early and explore the streets before it gets hot and busy. We walked to the top of the hill for sunrise which was breathtaking and very easy due to this hotels location. It’s very basic on set up and amenities, but that is part of the charm in my opinion

It was an incredibly special experience to sleep in Aït Ben Haddou in one of the old buildings, everything only lit with candles. Hosts were very kind and we truly enjoyed our stay. Candle light dinner was awesome and very tasty!

very quirky rooms with candle lights only. The beds are large and comfortable. Bathroom clean with a very nice hot shower. The guy at the restaurant was somewhat peculiar, we asked for bottles of beer and we just couldn’t understand what he was saying. Our neighbouring table seeemed to have beer and wine available, so Im not sure why he couldn’t serve us.

Incredible property right in old Ait BenHaddou. Loved the antique artifacts adorning the walls and the candlelight nights in the Kasbah. So atmospheric!

Amazing experience! Getting to stay in the old part of Ait Ben Haddou is very special! The hotel is candlelit with limited electricity but you can charge phones, turn on lights to use the bathroom, etc. Would very highly recommend doing the candle lit dinner! Probably the highlight of our stay there! Would definitely recommend!
