The BB Garni Motta hotel offers you recently renovated, quiet rooms (some with balcony) with panoramic views of the Alps, only 2 minutes from the A2 motorway in Airolo. The BB Garni Motta hotel is an ideal place for a stopover on your way from or to Italy, as it is situated right south of the Gotthard tunnel, but also for your summer or winter holiday. In summer the majestic alpine area of the St.Gotthard, the Piora-Ritom district with its fascinating lakes, the Bedretto valley, provide lots of opportunities for excursions. In Winter the Funivie del San Gottardo cable cars takes you to the wonderful ski area 2000 metres above sea level. In the Bedretto valley you can enjoy a beautiful cross-country track and there are also departure points for numerous ski tours and excursions.

“Very helpful staff, restaurants within walking distance, really handy for access to Gotthard Tunnel”
Nice breakfast. Booked because it was very near the south portal of Gotthard Tunnel which meant avoiding queues for the tunnel. Very helpful staff.

“Great location, good room, clean and comfy.”
Close to the station in this beautiful village. Room was spacious with little storage. Bathroom good, shower a bit tight but with good flow. Breakfast was self service, good, varied and plentiful.

The proximity to available restaurants was within walking distance as well as the centre of the village (train station). The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful with the questions I had.

“Basic but fair accommodation with a very friendly staff”
The lady at the reception was very enthusiastic and kind. The hotel is cycling friendly, which is always a big bonus since our preferred way of travelling is on the bikes :)
