“Don’t book this place”

Their reservation system is apparently a mess. The owner seems to not know how does booking.com work. I booked one bungalow for 2 nights, reached out via Whatsapp to arrange a transfer from our previous homestay, the answer was ‚For 31-2 January 2025, Full, you can book on 3 January 2025’. I again mentioned that I already have a booking and they insisted that they were full. I requested on the platform a free of charge cancellation and asked them on WA to confirm it. 48 hours later it was still not confirmed - I assume they didn’t know how to do it and instead they wrote a message in our booking.com chat that it’s supposed to be canceled. It obviously didn’t work and now my booking appears as completed. I just went personally to this place to clarify the situation but according to one of the guests - the owner is usually not there. If you want to save your time and nerves, just don’t book here.
