We booked 2 hours before our evening arrival and the staff were amazing. We had a lovely room with a jacuzzi bath which was very welcome after 3 days camping! The staff quickly set up a table in the bar for us for dinner. The food and breakfast the next day were both lovely.The grounds are great for a short evening walk and there were some great walks within 5 minutes of the hotel. This is a hidden gem to which we would definitely return.

“The cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in”
The hotel was very easy to find and it was immaculately presented. The staff were very welcoming and we immediately felt at home with an open fire and a good selection of beers and beverages. The rooms were very nicely presented and equipped with everything we needed for a night’s stay. The only criticism was the TVs weren’t smart TVs meaning we actually had to find something to watch but not a big deal. We stayed for dinner and the food was good traditional home cooked meals. Everything was freshly prepared and there was plenty of food. A really enjoyable stay and easily the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

“A hidden gem in the Country side with so much to offer.”
The decor of the venue was fabulous and immediately you felt relaxed and at home. Staff and hosts were very helpful and obliging. We arrived late and they sorted room and food out for us without any hesitation.

Excellent cooked breakfast with locally produced food. Efficient and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Highly rate the evening meal in the restaurant, and excellent service. Our room was spotless and very comfortable.

Superb room. Hotel was decorated for Xmas so very festive. Lovely real fire in the bar area. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food in the restaurant was plentiful and well cooked. Service was excellent.

Dogs are welcome in the lounge/bar area but not the restaurant. Should you wish your pet to join you whilst dining a table may be set in the bar for you all.
