Good value for money, the garden is really nice and the location offer a super view on the sea. The manager was nice with us and apologised after waking up Don't expect quietness in this place, it's a party hostel, perfect for young travellers, less for people who search a place to have a good rest

“If you want to have a good time this is the place for you”

- the location was absolutely beautiful - great shuffle service to the beach - the vibes are amazing - the staff is super nice and everyone makes you feel welcome - unlimited alcohol (the sangria is DELICIOUS) - the food is always freshly cooked and dinner was something to genuinely look forward to because it was always so good - the perfect mix between hostel and camp - your get surf equipment and also learn how to surf if you're a beginner - the garden! - amazing place to meet new people - the whole place is basically run by volunteers which makes it very chill - it's located on a mountain which means the view is georgeous. However, there's a small town (Aia) just a 5 minute walk where you can go to a supermarket etc. The location really is a 10/10! - If you ask you can go horseback riding (which I definitely recommend as well) - The trivia night I've seen all the negative reviews on here and I can promise you it is not like that anymore. As far as I understood the management has changed and so has the whole place. I can really only recommend this place

Stoke Surf Hostel is an absolute gem nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Basque Country. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, social atmosphere, and fun, this is the spot! It's not a 5-star resort, but honestly, the good energy and community more than make up for it. Every day you can join in for yoga sessions, hang out with fellow travelers, and end the day with awesome communal dinners. They have a ping pong table too! Speaking of which, Anna, the hostel manager, is a legend—super friendly and always around to help out and she absolutely slays at ping pong! Don't say I didn't warn you if you challenge her ;) This is the hostel you want to go to if you're looking to make new friends and get out of the city!

Super social surf camp. Great parties and atmosphere, cool activities planned most night and staff were amazing making sure I felt welcome and included. Rooms were cleaned daily and common areas were well looked after. I really loved the surfing and the instructor was brilliant. 3 meals prepared each day were an amazing bonus to my stay, the meals were very good and had great alternatives for people with intolerances and allergies making sure I didn’t have to worry about any cooking or logistics, this gave me a real opportunity to immerse myself in the surfing and the basque culture.

This Surf House is the first hostel I have stayed at. I only had the best of times. From surf equipment to the staff etiquette this is a rare find when comes to hostels. Cannot recommend enough.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Such incredible vibes, stunning views of the countryside and the nicest people. Instantly felt at home and part of the family. All the staff were so friendly and helpful I wish I could have stayed longer but I will definitely be back.

Coming to the surf house here was an unforgettable journey with creating memories and make surprisingly deep bonds with former strangers. I was traveling by myself around Spain as a female solo traveler and let me tell you in no other hostel it was that easy to socialize, meet people, have fun times at the beach, getting yoga classes in the mountains of a national park or even enjoy a little yoga session at the beach! The staff was creating fresh meals where the menu changes every day. I had such a great time here appreciate and thank the whole stoke gang for making my time so great! Will def be back asap

“A diamond in the rough”

Exactly what I needed a fun surf camp/hostel with great people. I felt at home even though I was on my own the property is an old farm house so it has some sort of rustic vibe and surrounding area is so beautiful. Massive thank you to all the staff how welcomed me and made me feel at home. Changing my plans to come back as I had a great time. Thank you San Sebastian surf camp the little gem. The party and the unlimited drinks offer was one not to pass on. Just to say if you are expecting hotel service might not be the place for you the reviews are abit unfair as it is a hostel. “Dirty place and not respecting covid measures”

For the €50 I paid per night I expected at least to have clean bed sheets. Everything was in a very bad shape and really dirty. Bathrooms were only cleaned once per day (and can only say this because I saw the girl cleaning, but non result at all), rooms are never cleaned; the trash is kept there for weeks and it all smells very bad. There are no covid measures in place at all, having a full capacity of around 25 people sleeping in the same room without ventilation and with only 1 meter of separation between beds. The staff is not even wearing masks most of the time while there are in constant touch with different people that come and go. Worth spending a bit more if necessary and go somewhere else. We spoke with different groups of guests that had booked a whole week, but left after 2 days or when they were able to book a bed somewhere else.
