“Amazing location and nice staff.”

The location is amazing, a couple of hundred meters from Kabalana Beach, which is a great beginner surf beach, but also 15 minutes walk to the restaurants in Ahangama. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was filling and tasty. The air conditioning worked really well and the facilities were clean. There are only 2 rooms and the walls were thick so we didn’t hear any noise from the neighbouring room.

It was amazing! I love service there, all people were really nice and helpful, breakfast was also really nice, rooms was very clean and cosy :)

“Incredibly comfortable stay with lovely people”

Kamal and his lovely family have given us the best memories from an 8-night stay at their guest house. This place is owned by the sweetest Kamal and he is so incredibly kind and helpful, everything was so nice. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of eggs, fruit, coffee or a more traditional Sri Lankan breakfast if you prefer. The room was super clean and brand new with AC and mini fridge, the ensuite bathroom was also clean and spacious, and the location was great. I highly recommend this place if you want a tranquil stay away from all the chaos of the main road.

Everything was great here! We loved the staff (they are the nicest people ever), and the room itself was clean and good. Worth noting that the train station is neighbouring, but we did not mind too much as it does not go during night time. I loved our stay and would definitely come back- especially for the price:)!

Loved the cleanliness & most importantly, the warmth and helpful nature of the host and his staff. Kamal is an excellent host. A special mention for Aunty Rupa, who cooked us delicious vegetarian breakfast which was so wholesome and yummm!

It was a very nice stay, the team treat you very nicely and they help you with anything you need (I sorted out with them renting out a bike and airport shuttles). Would 100% recommend.

This was the best place we stayed it on our trip to Sri Lanka! The room was lovely and clean, the included breakfast was delicious and the staff were so helpful. The location is great and you are able to rent a bike and do laundry at the accommodation. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone wanting to stay in Ahangama

Kamal is a lovely host, and really goest the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. He even drove my luggage to the next hotel in his tuk tuk! The room is comfy and clean, and the breakfast is very tasty. They are wonderful hosts!

The staff was very very helpful and nice! Nuwan organized the Yala safari for us, that was great! They serve an amazing breakfast every morning. The room had everything we needed. Location just in-front of the best spot for beginner surfers.

“Perfect house stay with incredibly warm and welcoming family within walking distance to beach!”

We received such a warm welcome from Sandil and his family and loved staying here so much we extended our stay another night. The rooms are spacious and clean and the aircon was the best we have had on our travels. Less than five minutes walk to the beach. The breakfast was perfect - lovely big plate of fruit and omelet and toast with a big pot of coffee. We would definitely recommend and return!

The people was nice and very open to help, even the check-out was at 11, they let us to stay a bit longer to go to the beach. The location is perfect, just need to cross the main road and you're in the beach.

“Great location next to the beach”

We enjoyed our stay at Sandhil’s. It’s a short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants/bars, just outside the main Ahangama town. The room was a little noisy as it’s close to the main road that runs along the beach, but that will be the case for anywhere in such close proximity to the beach. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is located opposite the beautiful Kabalana Beach where I surfed. There are cafes and restaurants next to the hotel overlooking the ocean. The owner of the property is very friendly - my stay was hassle-free and comfortable. Breakfast: a plate of delicious fruit + omelette, coffee or tea was very good. There is a beautiful tropical view from the terrace. I walked 15 minutes to the centre of Ahangama. You can rent a scooter from the owner at the property. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back!

Nuwan and his lovely housekeeper, Rasika were very helpful and honest. Nuwan knows Sri Lanka extremely well and was a wealth of knowledge. He is able to organise a large variety of services across the region. Rasika was very sweet, laundry services were offered, breakfast was lovely too. Nuwan and Rasika were always happy to help and answer any questions we had. The location is perfect, especially for a surfer. It’s a very short walk to three surf breaks.
