The owner and family are so welcoming and lovely. There is everything you need in the room including small kitchen facilities. And get offered a breakfast of your choice. Excellent location and close to the beach. We had such a great stay here. Would love to come back in the future.

Bimba and her family were great hosts. Made you feel so welcome. The location was great, short walk to eveything including the station if you’re coming via train. There was also a new gym next door which was 8000 for a weeks pass. Breakfast each day was filling and local cuisine which was nice. Bimba also made a dress after buying some fabric in town during our stay. Would definitely recommend

“Safety, comforting and clean”

I stayed with Bimba at Rasara Homestay for three weeks and immediately felt at home. Her kindness, along with that of the other women, made me feel safe and well cared for. At the time, I had a broken foot and was in a cast, and Bimba went out of her way to help me with shopping and other tasks that were difficult for me to manage on my own. The room was clean and tidy, and she ensured it was cleaned whenever needed. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone traveling to Ahangama to stay with Bimba. Staying there feels like gaining a family. For me, Bimba and the others became my Sri Lankan family, and they will always hold a special place in my heart. I also highly recommend taking advantage of their incredible tailoring skills. Bring your own fabric and share your design ideas—they’ll create something truly magical! Staying with Bimba and the others is an experience I can’t recommend enough.

“Magical”

I loved every second of my stay at Bimbas place. She and the other two ladies really make you feel at home there. I also absolutely loved the interior of the room - very warm and nice colors. It´s also got AC and everywithing else you could ask for. Even a private little kitchen with a big fridge. If you don't feel like cooking the lovely ladies will prepare the best meals for you. Especially the curry was amazing! If I return to Ahangama there is no question that I will be staying with Bimba again!

“My favorite home away from home”

Out of my three months on the south coast, this place was without doubt my favourite home away from home. Bimba and her sister provided a fresh, nely renovated room with a nice little kitchen and en-suite bathroom. The place is very clean, bed is comfortable and the porch + garden is perfect for escaping the busy streets of Ahangama. Bimba and her sister made me feel so safe and welcome and cooked the most amazing Sri Lankan breakfasts of my choice every morning. They also happen to be two very talented seamstresses, so make sure to order som nice pieces from them during your stay. Rooms: Clean, spacious, comfortable bed, charming interior detalis, beautiful garden. Area: 5 minuits walk to Ahangama Junction, coffee shops, local restaurants, bars, beaches and stores. Nice garden and calm streets around, close to rice fields.

“Amazing”

Had the most amazing time at Rasara Home Stay! The beautiful garden, the quietness, the breakfast’s, our own little apartment, but most of all Bimba and her family made this stay so special for me. You will feel so welcomed from this women. I can definitely recommend this place, already planning to go back :))
