If you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind slighter rougher conditions this place would be 100%. The location is alright, five mins or so from the beach.

To be honest the only positive thing I can think about is the location of the property. It’s quite central but still in a more quiet area. You can reach everything important by foot and there’s some really nice cafés like “the kip” around, which I can recommend.

“Amazing local stay!”
Clean, comfortable apartment with equipped kitchen and good AC in one of the rooms. The owners are lovely and super helpful. Nearby gym, beach, fruit/veg markets, monkeys right outside the window. Would definitely recommend this place!

The host and his family are extremely nice people, always available to help. The location was perfect for me, very quiet in the night. It’s in the nature although it’s 1 minute walk to the main road. The facility is basic but having all that was needed. They also have a restaurant where I had a delicious local breakfast.

“Chilled!”
The owners was super friendly and always helpful! No matter what, ishiwan and his Wife did what they could do help with everything! We spend three nights there and we would love to come back to this wonderful place! Besides accommodation, they also had a scoter rent and a tiny restaurant included! Both was very very good. We stayed at My House Ahangama for 8 nights and absolutely loved our stay. Accomodation was a great price and loved being in the jungle and set away from the hustle and bustle of Ahangama but could easily get to surf breaks. They were so helpful and hospitable and the food was incredible, genuinely maybe the best we had in Sri Lanka! Thanks so much and we'll definitely be back! 🫶✨

The homemade resturant is good, the couple is lovely and helpful in evryth6u need from renting scooty to booking you tuktuk, the surrounding area is a jungle, bassicly u sleep at a jungle, amazing stay, highly recommend

“Luscious, friendly and characterful cabanas”
The family running My House is super friendly and very accommodating. The location was ideal, we loved the cabana style shacks which had a fan and mosquito nets and our outdoor shower and toilet.

“Enjoy local experience”
The family running the place was incredibly kind and welcoming. The location is very wild and authentic, perfect if you want to be close to nature and enjoy local experiences. I felt completely safe during my stay. The houses have a cozy cottage vibe, so don’t be surprised if a few ants or small animals come in it’s all part of the charm! You won’t hear any train noise here, only the soothing sound of the sea.

The place was beautiful and the hosts were super friendly. They arranged a scooter hire for us and did a great job with all of our laundry, it came back smelling fresh and in great condition. I highly recommend staying here.

I recommend this place, it's located very close to the small Secret Beach. The family is very friendly, and they have also a small restaurant not far from the rooms. The garden and the surrounding are beautiful and you can hear singing all the birds and feel a bit the jungle.
