“Best place in Ahangama!”

Wauw! I really enjoyed my stay in this house. Denis is such a nice, chill and friendly host. I felt very comfortable here during my stay, it was so relax. The house was very nice, with a beautiful garden and an outdoor shower. I had the garden room, and i loved waking up there. The location is perfect. I wish i could stay longer! Thank you Denis for this amazing experience! :)

Had a great stay here! We would definitely come back. Denis is a lovely host, clean rooms, well located and he has a lot of tips for the area. Loved the mosquito-nets in the door and windows. Definitely one of our favorite accommodations out of 4 weeks in Sri Lanka. Stay safe 🙏

We had a really nice stay at Marshmallow Homestay. The house and rooms are beautiful clean and have fans. The garden is so pretty and you can use the kitchen if needed. The location is directly opposite of a nice surfbreak and you have many cafes, shops and restaurants near by.

First of all Marshmallow’s HS was the highlight of my trip: sanctuary in the buzz of Ahangama. Dennis and his partner have created such a welcoming place, where you can really feel like home. The place is well taken care of and Dennis’s warm italian hospitality really shines through. I stayed for a week and could have easily stayed even longer. Having access to kitchen and a good sized fridge makes it easy to prep your own meals but the place is close to many restaurants and cafés if you are on holiday-mood, like I was. I didn’t really felt the need for scooter or tuk-tuk as there are plenty of places to choose from within walking distance. Just ask Dennis, he surely knows a good one! The surf break is literally almost on your door step with a board rental hut with generous opening hours. Next to the beach access, there is also sweet coconut lady selling cold coconuts for a nice after-surf refreshment. For non-surfers: The area is very nice for exploring, there is a beach for swimming and sunbathing nearby, and I also discovered nice running/walking route around the fields just past the train tracks and beyond. I had no issues with WiFi, it worked fine. There are of course co-working spaces around Ahangama to utilise if needed. Also, sharing bathroom was no issue. During my stay we were app. 2-3solo and/or a couple. Besides, people tend to have their own plans and schedules so no need to stress for a queue! Warmly recommend staying in this place!

I really liked this homestay. Denis and Yasmin are really good hosts and they have lots of recommendations. The location is perfect, if you are a surfer there's a good surfspot just in front of the house. The garden is super nice to cool down after a day at the beach

this homestay really felt like home to us ♥️ it‘s beautifully done with so much love to details and the hosts, denis and jasmin are so easy going and amazingly welcoming and caring. and that‘s exactly the vibe that you feel in the house. everything was super clean and smelled fresh, also the shared kitchen and bathroom were always on fleek and we really appreciated hat we could have some nice talks with denis and ask literally anything. the house is located a little bit behind the main road, close to the train rails. of course you can hear the street sometimes and some trains at 22.00 and again at 6.00, but that‘s life in ahangama :) we stil had a good nights sleep. we really appreciated the beautiful garden as a little escape from the busy town. also, the area felt super safe. thanks for making us feel at home from the very first until the very last second of our stay ♥️

The most beautiful and peaceful stay in Ahangama. We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved every second. Denis and Jasmin made us felt as home from day 1. They're both very welcoming and caring. We rented all three rooms so we had the place for ourself. There is an outdoor seating area, outdoor shower and a well equipped kitchen. Denis gave us good recommendations for places to visit in the area like beaches, local restaurants etc that we really appreciated. Thanks for everything!

“Amazing Stay!”

We had a wonderful stay at Marshmallow Homestay. The house and rooms are clean and are so well equipped. Rooms are beautiful decorated and so comfortable. We appreciated the small gestures like beach towels, drinking water, umbrella etc. Denis and Jasmine went out of their way to help us with advice and suggestions. So lovely that we could rent a scooter right next door. We felt a part of the Marshmallow family and so enjoyed connecting with our fellow Homestay family. Thanks for having us and for an amazing stay.

“Your best cosy stay at Ahangama”

The room was super comfy and cleanliness was scrupulous. The hosts Jasmin and Denis were super friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed there was a shared kitchen fully equipped.

Very kind host (Denis) who gave lots of tips to do around the area. Clean and tidy rooms, well maintained.

Dennis and Jas are the most amazing hosts who make you feel at home instantly. The house is always clean and I loved the garden area. The homestay is incredibly located near to a great surf break and town. If you get the chance definitely also stay for the Italian 3 course dinner - super tasty!

We have spent 10 fantastic days at Marshmallow Homestay. The location is perfect, in front of the beach and close to many surf spots, yoga shalas and beautiful cafes and restaurants. Jaz and Denis are the best hosts and have made us feel really at home. The house has everything you might need, we have enjoyed a lot the garden and the outside shower. Best of all, the Italian dinner that Denis prepares on Sundays, if you stay here you can't miss it. 100% recommended!!! We couldn't have chosen better and will definitely stay again if we come back to Sri Lanka. We will miss it very much (especially Mirissa)!!! Thank you for all :)
