Overview
Located within the Cabo de Gata nature park, this typical rural hotel provides a charming and peaceful setting for your relaxing break in the sun. Cortijo Los Malenos Relais is surrounded by an estate of over 70,000 m² of tranquil Andalusian countryside. Its whitewashed buildings are all built in the traditional style, designed to protect them from the heat and wind. Cool yourself off from the warm southern sunshine with a dip in the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool. All rooms are built around 3 courtyards with fountains, giving you a taste of traditional Spain. Each one opens onto a terrace, and features central heating powered by solar panels. Cortijo Los Malenos Relais provides a breakfast service each morning. Evening meals are available, subject to request at breakfast time. Cortijo Los Malenos Relais is found just outside the village of Agua Amarga, just 4 km from the Mediterranean Sea.

“Comfortable and quiet”
Maria kindly upgraded us to a larger room after we raised the issue of damp with an off-smell in our initial room. Also the bed there was not comfortable. The larger room was very quiet and secluded and we slept well in the very comfortable kingsize bed. The large dry garden and surroundings made this a very nice location.

“An Enchanting Holiday.”
This is the perfect hotel to relax and unwind.The gardens surrounding the beautiful buildings, are stunning, and each morning my little dog and I enjoyed our walks exploring the area. My little house was well equipped,a very comfortable bed,and the enclosed courtyard was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The owner and all her staff are a wonderful team,and they were so helpful and kind. Delicious breakfast. & the coffee is the best!!!! A wonderful 4 days, thank you to everyone. Brenda & Annie xx

“Peace and natural luxury for your stay at Cabo de Gata natural park”
This place is really nice, everything is done with a great taste and it is very peaceful there. Rooms are confortable and our room had a “patio” where we could keep our dogs and there was also a small kitchen (which we used very little but for families it can be very handy). the pool and garden areas are also very nice and it is also easy to go for a walk directly from the property. and it is only a few minutes (by car) from Agua Amarga and its’ main beach. And the breakfast is delicious. with a lot of local specialities.

We love this place, it's amazing, quiet and so authentic. Perfect for a couple escape. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are amazing and every little corner is a paradise. We come here once per year to recharge and disconnect from the world. The service is amazing too.

“Unique and wonderful”
Breathtaking location, authentic, unique and utterly beautiful. Extremely comfy bed, thick soft towels, amazing pool area. The private seating areas and landscape of cactus, succulents and bougainvillea was truly fabulous. An quiet and gorgeous haven in the Spanish countryside!

“A truly relaxing break in wonderful surroundings”
The hotel was beautiful, the grounds were amazing, it was a perfect stay. Our room was very traditional, a good size with a big terrace overlooking the pretty plants in the garden. The pool area was very inviting with comfortable sun loungers. We had dinner both nights in the lovely courtyard, the food was very tasty and the service was impeccable. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast each day, where there was a huge selection to choose from.
