The Orchid Retreat was awesome! It was a long day travelling from Varanasi and when we got there Vikrant and family immediately made us feel very welcome. The rooms were huge by hotel standards. Modern and very clean. The bathroom was a generous size with a great shower and plenty of hot water. The hotel is situated on a quiet street and a 15 or so minute walk to the east gate of the Taj. We really enjoyed our stay - especially the hospitality. Nothing was a problem for Vikrant to organise.

We were a little concerned before we arrived because we had booked a hotel in Mumbai for a similar price to the Orchid Retreat and were seriously disappointed, however, when we arrived at the Orchid Retreat we were pleasantly impressed, the greeting from the manager was warm and heart felt which made my wife and I instantly more relaxed, after check in we were shown to our room and again we were very pleasantly impressed, it was spacious, comfortable and great value for money. Again when we ordered food it was superb. I really have no complaints at all about this great value little home stay.

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is excellent! The host was extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. Everything was just as described, if not better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting, and I would happily stay here again!

“Amazing homestay with a wonderful family!”

The home stay was clean, comfortable and just what we needed for a couple of nights stay in Agra. We had food in the property and it was lovely and reasonably priced. We also had our laundry done and he managed to get that at a good price for us too. But what we liked most is the host family are amazing, they make you feel at home right away. They are such amazing people, and couldn’t be anymore helpful. We stayed with our 1 year old daughter and they did everything they could to make her feel comfortable and at home, she even loved Oscar. The host even gave her a cuddly pug toy, which obviously had to be called Oscar and she’s kept it with her on her travels since.

The owner expected us until midnight even our train was 6 hours late. The hotel is very close to Taj Mahal, around 10 minutes walking distance to the entrance. The rooms are clean and beds are confortable.

Very quiet area - which is important for a good rest in India - lovely vibe and the Owner is very kind, funny and reliable person! He helped us a lot and we had very nice chat, always with a Smile :) He also arranged our car driver to jaipur for a very competitive price Perfect hot water functionning and breakfast service Recommended!

Everything. Vikrant is super host makes it almost everything possible for the guest comfort. We loved our stay and got in personal contact. If you happen to read any negative comment, please do not believe it. It is a genuine comfortable stay and we would recommend everyone. We do hope to come back again.
