“Total lack of human respect.”

I bought and paid for a one-night stay at The Hosteller in Agra for March 18th. Unfortunately, due to transportation issues, I couldn't make it on the scheduled date. I made a new reservation for March 20th, but due to local conditions, I couldn't make the payment online. However, I left a message through the Booking.com portal requesting them to hold the reservation, assuring them that I would pay upon arrival at the hostel. Upon arrival at the hostel, I was surprised to find that my reservation had been canceled due to the place being fully booked. The attendant at the time informed me that nothing could be done and offered me a basement room for the night at the same rate as the one I had reserved, which I considered a tremendous absurdity. Despite my refusal, the attendant reiterated that nothing could be done and that I would have to find alternative accommodation. After more than 12 hours of travel, I had to walk around the city from hotel to hotel trying to find a place to stay, due to the disorganization and lack of respect shown by The Hosteller in Agra towards me. The situation left me extremely irritated. Upon leaving the hotel, I ended up falling down the stairs and injuring my arm, bringing back this terrible memory of that cursed place to Brazil.

Vibe, vibe and vibe. Amazing guests, amazing staff members. I extended my day at The Hosteller for a day because of the people I met there.

Property is well maintained. Staff was super friendly I met this jolly guy Abhay Tiwari and he makes sure you’re comfortable around.

The great thing about this hostel is that it’s so close to the Taj you can even see it from their rooftop. It’s such a beautiful sight to see.

Location is at a walkable distance from Taj Mahal. Property is very well maintained, clean and with a very supportive staff. Wifi coverage is very good across the property. One of the biggest plus of the stay here was the rooftop cafe which has a very good view of Taj, especially during sunsets and pretty good Food. Highly recommended!

“Nice hostel but terrible beds”

In general this could be a really nice hostel. It was clean, nicely equipped, with the proper place to store your bags in the room, nice looking beds, and a bathroom with hot water. The staff is exceptional. The big advantage were also privacy curtains on the beds. I would give it way more stars if not the beds.
