“This place is pretty special”
A short but wonderfully enjoyable stay in the enchanting hilltop village of Agira. A great concept, with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Mario is a great host. A really lovely guy who's also very interesting to talk to about the local history. The views are simply breathtaking. I plan to return in the Spring, but this time spend a few days here.

The way up is not easy. You should be confident in your driving. Less suitable for beginner drivers. A shuttle service would probably be great.

This place is incredible. Mario the manager was extremely helpful and generous. The views will take your breath away overlooking Mt Etna especially as you lie by the pool sipping limoncello. Agira is a true gem. If you are looking for a traditional Sicilian village not teaming with tourist this place is it. Head down to Bar Etoile in the square in the evening. The shuttle bus back up the hill is a great initiative. I will be back!!
