The absolute seclusion and the unique "cave" design. It felt like a private sanctuary away from the world. The architectural integration into the landscape is stunning, and having a private pool with those views made it hard to ever want to leave.

Our stay at Altera Cave Villas was simply magical. We loved it so much we had to extend our initial trip! These villas are impeccably designed—truly like a luxurious set from a James Bond film. The private pool and the magnificent, sweeping sea views made it the perfect, tranquil escape. Everything here is pure perfection and surpassed our wildest dreams. Highest recommendation!

the room, pool, view, beach, everything was amazing. we had a great time here and we want to go back already. we were glad we went there by car since there is no restaurant or grocery store in walking distance. but except that they have everything. this is a perfect place to relax and take a break from busy everyday life.

Just about everything, the place itself, the location, the view, the quiet, friendly and helpful staff. The architecture of the villas makes you feel as if you were alone on the hill, amazing. The pool is a fine addition and it is really well kept.

We stayed in villa Terra. The pool and the view are sublime. There’s a great beach down a short set of stairs. The view and the solitude. It was very quiet, great for relaxing and we slept amazingly. The option for a breakfast being delivered to your patio (for a small extra cost) was a bonus, and delicious. We loved everything about our stay, and wished we could stay longer. Be careful though, if you think you might explore the area, there is a very real danger you’ll not go anywhere once you arrive! We were there 5 nights and didn’t leave expect to go to the market!

The view is absolutely amazing and connection to nature gives you possibility to relax and disconnect from day to day life. This place is authentic and worth visiting. Mrs. Nina who is taking care of the site is kind and hard working. Her personality give a special touch to the place. Penelopi the owner is very kind and nice person. We were lucky to have a chance to meet her and have a good talk together.

Spectacular views of the Libyan sea and rugged south Cretan landscapes, tranquil and peaceful, perfect for a couples break, staff were so friendly and helpful. Really comfortable furnishings. Quiet and remote location away from the crowds. Other reviews mention the access, whilst it is gravel road rather than tarmac, we didnt find this to be a problem.
