“Absolutely wonderful and happy stay at Pensione Elena :)”

The location very near beach with gorgeous view of sea over lovely lush field. Moments walk to two VERY fabulous tavernas. In a quiet very beautiful place close to Petriti. Not touristy in the usual sense, much more low key with lovely Greek people not being outnumbered by travellers. Loved the little shop downstairs with lovely fruit, veg and necessities plus a deep shady verandah for having a drink (and I think snack). The owners/staff were very kind and friendly. Good mozzie net on door to balcony and handy spot for my suitcase.

A real country place. Not fancy, just a homely and simple small family hotel. Cozy house with 3 floors (reception desk, dining terrace and mini-shop on the village road, 12 hotel rooms on the 2nd floor). If you are looking for luxury, don't go there. If you are looking for a country atmosphere and a simple life, you can go. Fortunately, the price corresponds to the simplicity. In the house you feel more like in a simple old home than in a real hotel. Elena, the very fun waitress, is quick and greets customers at the breakfast table with many "Kalimera"s. Location next to a small quiet beach and beach cafe, you can swim in the sea in several places near the house. Beautiful view of the sea. Less than a km away is the small fishing town of Petriti, it is not visible from the hotel but you can get there directly through a small forest - take a flashlight or headlamp with you if you want to go in the dark, it is pitch black in the forest and you have to find a narrow hilly path. It is a 3km drive there by car. Be aware that roosters crow early in the morning, as there is a chicken coop nearby. Village dogs walk and bark somewhere in the distance (at an unknown time, usually in the evening darkness). The silence of the countryside can be heard far away.

The location is lovely if you want a quiet holiday – we went in late October and the local restaurants in the village were already closed however it is a beautiful spot and if you hire a car you can easily get to other nearby villages/restaurants. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach, and you can walk to Petriti, the next village along the coast. The hotel is simple, nothing fancy and that is reflected in the price.

A beautiful location, everyone was so friendly, Notos beach is really peaceful , fantastic for a relaxing break, grateful for aircon and mosquito net, couldn’t fault a thing, every day we were served a plentiful breakfast, would definitely return(well worth booking the sea view room, amazing).

this small family pension is at Notos beach- a hideaway beach near Petriti. the accomodation was great and the balcony overlooking the sea most welcome. Parking at the pension is available. It is near several good local tavernas with better swimming than the beach itself.

Lovely, kind people and nice restaurant with sea view opposite guesthouse. The bathroom was very spacious and room had a comfortable bed.

Fantastic cute hotel with wonderful staff and really pretty decoration! It's a tremendous deal for such a good price and really worth it for the beach nearby and the wonderful local restaurant that is something straight out of the carribean!

Agios Nikolaos is a gem with a lovely restaurant just along the road which steps down the hill to a idyllic little cove. Pension Elena is very good value and an ideal base to explore the area. The bonus for me was the car park and having a fridge. Host also very responsive when I asked for something to repel the mosquitos.

We had a wonderful time staying here. From the very beginning we were given help about booking hassle free car hire from the airport and directions etc. The accommodation is clean and well equipped with additional touches like a fruit plate and water bottle in the fridge and a lovely breakfast which varied every day. The pension is run by extremely friendly, cheerful and kind family and you are made very welcome The location is so peaceful and it was a joy to explore this corner of the island.
