Overview
Located in Megali Panagia on the 10th km to Ierissos, in Halkidiki, Platanorema is a beautiful farm stay set in a space of 35,000 m2 and land-marked by a natural aquatic pathway with a native plane-tree forest. It offers a large sun terrace with BBQ and a Farm with both domesticated and wild animals. The stone-built apartments provide a TV, air conditioning and balcony with views. A fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and kettle is included. There is also a seating with fireplace. Featuring a shower, the bathrooms come with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Guests can enjoy garden view from all the rooms and free Wi-Fi. The traditional restaurant offers a variety of semi-wild bred meats, vegetables from the Farm’s garden, local cheeses and wines. Outdoor activities, such as horse riding, archery, basketball, volleyball and track adventure, can be enjoyed. The property also organizes farm activities, cooking lessons and pottery classes. A playground and tennis court is available. Other facilities include conference rooms, ticket service and luggage storage. Platanorema is just 10 minutes from Arnaia and 5 minutes from the beach at Pyrgakia village. Thessaloniki International Airport is 63 km away from the farm stay. Free parking is available on site.

The place is magical, as if you step into a fairytale. The animals, the greenery, the birds’ song. The restaurant and the food are simply TOP. There are a few small things that could be improved, but they’re really not worth mentioning, as the overall experience is truly wonderful. We would definitely come back again. Heartfelt thanks to everyone there 🩷

The location is great. Lots of greenery, not too crowded since the capacity is not that big. A place to relax and enjoy the summer vacation. Even if you have to drive to the beach, the views are amazing.

“Unforgettable family getaway at Platanorema!”
We had a short but truly lovely stay at Platanorema. The kids especially enjoyed the horse riding and spending time with the kittens, which made their stay extra special. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing – fresh, authentic, and delicious. We felt at home right away. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next visit!

“A nice, calm place to rest with the family!”
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Safe for the kids with places to discover. Calm and inside the nature. Close to beaches of Halkidiki! Breakfast was included and it was nice. Hosts and staff were polite and helpful! We would like to visit again!

“Not sure I will visit again!”
Restaurant was at good place but sleeping rooms was exactly to noisy road. We waited 45 minutes for the half of the breakfast and leave, in my opinion 8:30 am for starting hours are late when you are at sea in July :) , few people from the staff was perfect the rest awful 😞 Actually we booked not in front of the beach to receive better service but we e did not. Not sure I will visit this place again in my life.

“Looking forward to see you again!”
It is a great location for families traveling with kids and looking for a large place where the little ones could run around. Running barefoot on a an excellent kept yard was a big bonus for us. The food was great and the staff was always there for us, even though we had travelled outside the season - most of the menu was available and always found something delicious to eat.

Hospitality, location and whole place is amazing. Breakfast on the top level. We will come to this place again. Near to the Agios Oros and close to the Sithonia and Thessaloniki as well.

We liked the farm, the animals, the surroundings. It is very quiet and peaceful. The personnel is real nice and helpful. The closest beach is near Pirgadikia, 10 min away by car.

Platanorema is an exceptional hotel, situated in the heart of Halkidiki's nature. The apartments are lovely, resembling the regional architecture. We found them clean, spacious and well equipped. We were also happy to see all our needs kindly met by the polite personnel and to taste the delicious dishes in the restaurant, which are highly recommended! The large, well tended garden adds to the beauty of the hotel. It is worth to mention that the nearby creek and the rich vegetation of the region offer a relief from the scorching heat of the greek summer. Although not by the sea,, the beauty of the natural surroundings, the aesthetics and the quality of the services, guarantee a wonderful stay. 100% recommended!
