Just 70 metres from the beach of Agia Roumeli, Samaria offers air-conditioned rooms with a private balcony and an on-site tavern serving traditional Cretan cuisine. “I recommend this hotel”
The nicest, most genuine people run this hotel and restaurant. I was met with care and kindness, the room was simple but had everything I needed (powerful AC!), the location was obviously perfect. The restaurant looked good although I didn't have a chance to have dinner there. I thoroughly recommend.

“Fantastic weather in August, wonderful swimming and the best hotel to stay in.”
I would very much like to thank Mr Prokopis for his kindness and generosity throughout my stay. The room was of a higher standard than I was expecting and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. The breakfast of bacon and eggs was delicious and the evening meals were exceptional. The lamb was soft and tender and tasty. The boureki was just as it should be with lovely homecooked taste. The restaurant located in the centre of the village was also a surprisingly good place to 'people watch' as well!

“Affordable place for a short stay, meeting all the basic needs”
We got stranded in Agia Roumeli after the Samaria hike. The room was fine for hikers, whether before or after walks. The staff was lovely and helpful. We chose it not expecting luxiouries

“Value for money - great location - excellent hosts.”
The host family are so wonderful and the room was lovely with a gorgeous little balcony looking at the fabulous mountains and blue skies. Fridge and hairdryer. Wardrobe with hangers. At night the stars are bright and the village is quiet. I loved staying there. Highly recommended.

The room was comfortable and the owner was very nice. The location of the facility itself was in a charming seaside village at the very end of the Samaria Gorge, where you can rest in peace after the hike.

Great location near the beach, sea and boat trip kiosks, supermarkets etc. Friendly owners of hotel and their restaurants. The Samaria Hotel is a privately run hotel/ restaurant, with Prokopis and his family always at hand to help with anything you need, a font of information. Rooms are large with views to the sea, mountains and castle, especially from the large balcony. The rooms, restaurants are exceptionally clean, have WIFI, TV etc. Great home cooked food, it seems anything from Octopus to Lamb in the oven to simple Greek salads, everything you might want. I fully recommend this great place to stay and visit.

“Amazing excursion for group of friends or family”
The location is just around the corner from the port. Close to both a sandy and a pebble beach. The family operating the hotel and the restaurant were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. They speak great English among otherlanguages.
