The staff are lovely and so helpful ☺️ nothing was too much trouble. All the food is homemade and delicious.

Best place to stay in Agia Roumeli. Comfy and modern rooms, the sea right at your doorstep, great food and very friendly and enthousiastic young staff.

Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. They are eager to make your stay enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing. The town is small and lovely and has a very family-oriented vibe. We also had dinner and breakfast there and had great meals and experiences. While we only stayed one night, because that is all we had planned in our itinerary, it was one of the highlights of the trip.

The owner and his son were both fantastic - very polite, friendly and helpful. Storing our bags until our room was available was no problem at all. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great balcony (with clothes rack). Fridge. View of the beach too. One of the them was always present and very attentive, so you never had to wait for anything. Our dinner was fantastic with delicious food - fish (in fact all) perfectly cooked. The restaurant balcony was large and open - great in the heat, although we chose to sit below, overlooking the beach on one side. When we left for the next town via ferry, i left something in a draw; they rang me, and then sent the bag on the next ferry - safely returned. Fantastic stay.

Lovely family run hotel with the best food we’ve had so far in Crete, much of it home grown. Try the aubergine salad. You won’t regret it!

The staff welcomes you to the facilities very warmly. The room was very clean with a balcony view of the sea. The food in the restaurant is fresh, made with love and care. The staff is always happy to help with any questions or needs you might have.

This is an exceptionally clean and well-run, family-owned hotel. New, clean bathrooms. The level of personal attention is equal to that of a five star hotel. The hotel is just next to the beach, half of the rooms are directly facing the sea, the other half have a partial sea view. Agia Roumeli as such is a bit of a hidden gem, with a clean, turquoise sea inviting to swim, and more facilities than one normally could expect. This is due to the hikers that arrive every day via the Samaria gorge, but that mostly leave again on the 16:30 ferry.

Charming helpful hosts. They brought our bags to and from the boat. Great spot. Superb food, especially the traditional dishes. Would certainly recommend it.

Great welcome after finishing the gorge walk. Shown straight to our room. We then had a Greek salad and homemade bread with the best cold beer to help rehydrate us. We had our evening meal at Calypso aswell, I had goat and husband had the lamb. Both were delicious. All the team were very friendly. We will definitely return if not to do the walk to do some village hopping via the ferry. The shower was fantastic.
