“Nice villa with amazing view”

We loved our stay at villa Aretousa 2! The outside area (pool and minigolf) made our stay perfect. The villa is modern and spacious. The host was really friendly and got us some groceries due to our late arrival.

Ritsa met us at the villa to hand over the keys and show us around. All very easy. She left a lovely hamper of food and drink for us and we asked her to get some coal for the BBQ which she bought and delivered to the villa whilst we were out and wouldn't take payment for. The villa has beautiful views of the sea and is a short 10-15 minute walk down into Agia Marinas strip which has loads of restaurants and beautiful beaches. The walk back up is a bit steep so probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There's a Lidl about 10 minutes drive from the villa which we went to a couple of times. There are local supermarkets on the strip but we didn't use them so not sure what they stock. There are lots of fantastic restaurants on the main strip so no shortage of good food. The only thing I thought was lacking in Agia Marina was bars but if you walk a bit further into Platanias, there are a few cocktail bars there. If you are walking down to Agia Marina at night you'll need your phone torch as there are no street lights and it is very dark.

The size of the villa was very spacious for 12 people. There is plenty of space in the living room/dining room. Bedrooms were a decent size, and en suits were very good. Outside bbq facilities were excellent, used most nights and swimming pool was fantastic. A welcome relief from the heat. Our host even asked for a grocery list to fill our fridge etc for us arriving which was very thoughtful.

The villa is fantastic. It was clean and well equipped with everything you need. The location and views were out of this world. The villa owners were so welcoming and made our stay so special. We all spent a lot of time in the pool which was the perfect size to swim and play in. We had a mini golf tournament during our stay which was a great added bonus.

“Perfect family holiday”

We have just returned from a fabulous family week at villa aretousa - we are a family of 6 adults , 3 children and a baby. The villa was perfect - we loved the pool and bbq areas. Plenty of room for everyone inside and out and the villa had everything we needed. The view was beautiful - we took a slow 20 minute walk with the children down to the main road. Ritsa was so helpful - arranging transfers and shopping for us. I would also recommend the transfer guys - professional and punctual - they do other trips in Chania too. All in all the best holiday we have had - thank you!

Our host was brilliant and picked us up from the airport and took us to the property. The views were amazing and it was very peaceful with a great breeze as you are up high. It is walking distance to the beach (although a bit steep to come home)
