Everything about Despina Studios was fantastic. The communication from the host, the warm welcome we received upon arrival, and the fantastic apartment we stayed in. It was great value for money, and we wouldn't hesitate to book this place again.

Wonderful apartment a few steps from the beach. Quiet, peaceful, clean, and comfortable. The host was very nice and helpful, and we had a great time there. It was a perfect location for a relaxing holiday.

A minute away from the beach, shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk, incredibly clean and well looked after. Comfortable beds, great shower pressure and nice balcony seating area. George was very helpful.

“Cozzy stay at Despina in Agia Mariina Crete”

The staff (the owner) is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and cozy all the time with a high-quality standard. Near the beach, restaurants, bars, and everything was easy available. You can easily arrange other activities outside Agia Marina with the help of the owner, who helps make the reservations. My friends stayed in a hotel apartment next to Despina, and in my consideration, the quality standard of the room at Despina was higher. Highly recommended.

I loved this place to the maximum! From the moment I arrived, I felt like the most awaited guest. A huge and sincere thank you to George and Valentina for the warmest, most heartfelt welcome I've ever received. Their hospitality is beyond words – you feel truly special from the first second. They greet you with a smile, provide you with all the tips and recommendations you might need, and they are always there to help with anything. You can feel how much care and attention they put into every detail. When we entered the room, we even found lovely treats waiting for us – such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! It made us feel incredibly welcomed and appreciated. The property itself is simply amazing – a peaceful little paradise. People have different tastes, but for me, this was absolute perfection. It is the most soulful and charming place I’ve ever stayed in – every detail is thoughtfully arranged, offering complete comfort and impeccable cleanliness. The location couldn’t be better either. I am absolutely thrilled and so happy to have found this gem. I will definitely come back again! Wishing George and Valentina all the very best in their wonderful work. “Wonderful apartment near the beach.”

Lovely comfortable studio apartment with excellent shower and big comfy bed in a fabulous location. Owner was knowledgeable and helpful advising on restaurants and day trips. Every detail was perfect including lovely toiletries and some kitchen basics which were a nice touch as was regular cleaning. Highly recommend and looking to book next year.

“Neat little studio close to Platanias & the beach”

The studio is very clean, comfortable & well organised. The host had left a lovely selection of items to welcome me. It is conveniently located, very close to a bus stop on the Chania-Kastelli route, but at the back of the building so you don't notice the noise from the road. It is also very close to the sea, and you have a balcony with a bit of direct sea view so it's nice to start the day with coffee out there. Noise does bounce around the flat so if you have noisy neighbours you'll need ear plugs.

The studio is located to the seaside, very close to different beaches (walkable). Directly outside is also a bus station. Many restaurants, shops & supermarkets directly on the street.The service, cleanliness, furnishment, location, management - everything was better than we expected! The best value for money if you want chilled and calm beach-holidays (+ you can easily get to other cities and locations via bus or car). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Total relax”

Very close to the beach and all bars and restaurants. Use of the pool in the next apartments which are adjacent. Spotlessly clean , very friendly hosts . Very good value for money compared with other apartments around it

“Lovely and peaceful little hotel, perfect location”

Everything was just as we expected, the room was very clean, spacious enough for us, and the balcony was big. The beds were SUPER COMFORTABLE! There were 2 lighter blankets and 1 heavier blanket to choose from, which is amazing for people who like to sleep at different temperatures (I like cold temperatures, but almost everybody I travel with wants to be warm - I've NEVER seen this being accommodated for like this before, big bonus points!)... The bathroom was roomy and clean with a big mirror. The location was superb, right next to the beach. The kitchenette had everything you would need, water kettle, coffee machine, microwave with grill, stove top, pans and even a whisk and salad bowls (expect we could not find a spatula that was OK to use for teflon pans, I feel like maybe someone took it?, but we bought one and it wasn't expensive at all, so we were OK!). The balcony featured a drying rack for towels, which we used daily after swimming. Also the air conditioning, while it may LOOK old, was VERY powerful. We only needed to have it on for a few minutes (less than 10 for sure) to cool the entire room. It was also super quiet! The whole Hotel itself was peaceful and quiet, we could never hear a peep out of our neighbors although we had some right next door. The cicadas in the trees were loud, but that's normal during the summer in Crete <3 We really would've wanted to stay for longer if we could have. I would 100% come here again.

“Excellent, Really relaxing. There is a lot to do in the area, but the place was still chilled out.”

The Location is really good. It's less than 90 metres from the beach and pool. There are a lot places to eat and for leisure activities close by. Also its right next to a bus stop where you can go into the old town for ~2 euros.

The staff was great. Very clean room with a nice balcony. And the location is really good. The sea is very near. Few tens of metres walking and you’re on the beach.

It was very clean, he gave us water orange juice and bread for breakfast. We had clean towels throughout the stay, the balcony was lovely, the house keeper even washed our breakfast pots up when we left them even though we didn’t expect her to. George was very helpful with travel and gave us good recommendations to go for food and supermarkets

We had a lovely week's stay and were looked after by our host George. The apartments are close to the beach and are various spacious inside and are spotlessly clean. George was very helpful and knowledgeable of the ared and gave us some great tips in terms of places to go. If we come back to Crete, we would definitely come back and stay at Despina Studios again. Highly recommend,
