Overview
Hotel Akteon is located at the southern coast of Crete, in the prefecture of Rethymon, at the port of Agia Galini, just a minute walk from tourist shops, traditional taverns and cafés. Traditional breakfast is served daily. The hotel offers well appointed guestrooms. All rooms share a veranda looking out to the Libyan Sea and the picturesque port. Each features private bathroom and is equipped with wireless internet access, LCD TV, refrigerator, air conditioning and a hairdryer. Guests can start their day with a Cretan breakfast including fresh yogurt with local honey, handmade sweets, fresh eggs, fruits, fresh bread and handmade jam. The distance from hotel Akteon to the beautiful Agia Galini' s sandy beach is 400 metres, a 6-minute walk away. Agia Galini’s narrow cobbled alleys are snaking from the port into the village and old houses are perched one above another against a steep cliff, offering a magnificent view over the Libyan Sea.

“Stunning views over the small old port Clean and neat”
Wonderful appartment with stunning panorama over the old port. The living room has large windows and terrace with great sea views. Excellent WiFi. Next to the family run hotel are some of the best restaurants in Agia Galini. It was very clean and neat. We loved it!

Very good location with wonderful views. The 180 degrees view terrace is huge and you can have wonderful sunrise and sunset hours there. The hotel owner is super nice and Agia Galini is a great locationto discover Cretas South Coast

Akteon Rooms offers something truly special: a stunning 270-degree view over Agia Galini from the terrace that you’ll never get tired of. Inside, the apartment is spacious, with two bedrooms and a large living room that includes a well-equipped kitchen. The thoughtful touches really stand out — fridge (complete with ice cubes!), kettle, coffee machine, toaster, NutriBullet, and even a sandwich maker. And there’s a huge panoramic window - more of a view isn’t possible. The location has a bit of a Montmartre feeling thanks to the stairs leading up from the parking, adding charm and character. A supermarket is conveniently just uphill around the corner. Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, quirky charm, and breathtaking views — highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Agia Galini in style.

Second time for us at Akteon Rooms, and we will certainly try to book here for our next stay in Agia Galini. Perfect atmoshpere, wonderful host. Lovely, homemade breakfast. Coffee, tea, juice, homemade jam, omelette, yoghurt and sweets - all served on a lovely terrace with a fantastic view.

“Experience authentic Greek hospitality with a wonderful breakfast at the heart of Agia Galini.”
We had a modestly but functionally furbished apartment with two bedrooms, a spacious living room/kitchen and our own balcony. We had direct views of the sea and were located very centrally in Agia Galini. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh linen provided. Air conditioning was a bit archaic, but seemed to work alright, we had a gentle breeze at least on the balcony. This is a family hotel, and the owner, Elleni, is an excellent host, who is always available and speaks good English. We had her delicious breakfast with varying treats such as omelettes, fruits, yogurt and with delicious home made jams, freshly pressed orange juice and fresh eggs on most mornings, sitting on her beautiful terrace enjoying the morning sunshine. The Akteon rooms are very centrals, the beach front with its restaurants and shops is within a few minutes reach. Parking is available on the public parking space, which can be busy.

The host Eleni and staff were all lovely and really helped to make our stay wonderful. The bed was super comfortable. The views from the room and terrace amazing. And the breakfasts were a delight. We would definitely stay again.
