Lovely quiet location in Afionas, brilliant host, walking distance to many restaurants and some of the best sunsets ever!

“Exceptional Views in a Lovely Location.”

Location - Afionas is a lovely village in the north west of Corfu. It’s a place people go to for the famous Timoni beach and wonderful sunsets. It gets a lot of day trippers but there isn’t much accommodation which makes it a rather unusual place to stay. The Villa is correctly shown on Google maps, just facing the road down to Agios Georgis. There is a wonderful bakery a few hundred metres along the road which has fresh bread every day from 7.30am. There are a couple of reserved parking places for the Villa just facing the entrance gate. You will need to buy any groceries at Sidari or Corfu Town. There’s a wonderful fish shop ( fishmonger) at Acharavi. Accommodation -The Villa is a private self contained house with a front gate through a garden to the entrance door. It’s a single storey with 2 generous sized bedrooms, lounge opening to a large kitchen. There is a bathroom with a good shower over the bath. ( I’ve included a hand-drawn floor plan - I know I would like to know this before I book.) Terrace and Garden - The stand-out feature of the Villa is the west facing terrace. Every night you can enjoy a spectacular sunset. There’s also a small lawn with a beautiful fruit tree that offers shade. There are sun loungers and a good quality table and garden chairs and parasol you can eat outside. Self Catering - In the Villa There’s a great oven, microwave and fridge freezer with all the crockery and cutlery you need. There’s a kettle, toaster, coffee maker and sandwich toaster too. Wifi was very good - we watched videos with no issues. We found the beds comfortable and the mattresses were good. The other key plus is the wonderful hospitality from the host. They were very helpful and kind. Cleaning was also exceptionally good with a lovely lady who came in as requested. We originally planed to stay for 9 nights but extended our stay to 19 nights … it was a delight in every way. Thank you. Jane, Stewart and Joyce.

Beautiful sunset view ,very nice host

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The location was perfect — just a 4-minute drive to a nice beach, 25 mins beautiful hike down to Timoni Beach and within easy walking distance to the nearby restaurants, so we didn’t need to worry about parking. The host and his family were incredibly friendly and welcoming. He also stopped by to say hello and brought us a small souvenir, which was such a thoughtful gesture. But the real highlight is the stunning view. We made sure to catch the sunset every evening, it was absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Amazing view and quiet place. Very clean place. Afionas village is really cute and has nice restaurants. Our hosts were very nice and willing to help us have a nice stay.

Clean, comfortable property with incredible views over the coastline towards the islands off Corfu. Shutters and air-con make it easy to sleep even in hot weather. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Convenient car parking space just over the road. Loads of local restaurant options and beaches easy to reach by car or maybe on foot.

“Lovely relaxing holiday, great sunset”

The location was excellent, amazing view and sunset and easy to walk to several tavernas in the evening. Useful bakery 50m down the road. 0.8km walk down to the beach and mini market (fine on the way down but we appreciated having a car for the way back up!). Kostas was very welcoming and even gave us a parting gift when we left.

Kostadinos and Jenny are the best hosts we've ever had, we just had the time of our lives in this beautiful villa with the most extraordinary view you can imagine. You don't miss a thing in the house and the beautiful places around like Afionas, Agios Georgios and Arillas are just outstanding. We'll be back, that's for sure! Maik & Tina
