Overview
Located right above a secluded beach of Afiarti in Karpathos, whitewashed Poseidon Blue Gastronomy Hotel offers a traditional restaurant in a garden of bougainvilleas. Rooms have furnished patios or balconies overlooking the Aegean Sea. All rooms at the Poseidon are simply decorated with tiled floors and light colours. Each has a radio and a private bathroom with shower. A rich breakfast is served in the garden. The restaurant serves fresh fish, seafood and local dishes. Guests can relax in the lounge bar that serves drinks and coffee and has a satellite TV. A small library, table tennis and darts facilities are available. Free Wi-Fi is available in all public areas. The hotel cooperates with wind surfing schools on the beach and boat tours can also be arranged. Pigadia village is a 20-minute drive away. Free private parking is available nearby the Poseidon.

Staff was really nice and helpfull. We asked for lower pillows and they provided new ones the same day. Breakfast area is in a beautifull location looking to the seaside; many menù options are available. We have been in apartment n.1, with a lovely terrace and a maritime pine! The hotel is perfect located, shielded from the wind and a 3 minutes walking distance from the amazing Damatria beach. If we return to Karpathos, we will definitely come back here.

Breakfasts are varied and very tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in a great location. The restaurant area in the shelter of the trees is excellent. The restaurant is excellent (MasterChef class).

“Our stay at Poseidon Blue Gastronomy”
Very friendly staff and always attentive. The location for us was ideal, as we hired a car from the airport for the whole duration. The restaurant was excellent with a great variety of gourmet dishes based on local and international cuisine. Additionally the sea views from the hotel and restaurant are spectacular. The beds in our room were very comfortable including supportive pillows, which we requested.

“Poseidon Blue blew it for us and gave us the Blues”
The beach is beautiful and the public areas of the hotel are lovely. The food in the restaurant adds a fantastic dimension with interesting takes on Greek classics. Breakfasts were delicious- the pancakes and Nutella were divine - and the omelettes delicious. Let down by poor fruit juices and a somewhat stressed out waitress. The staff were charming.

“Perfect!”
Beautiful rooms with a stunning view over the beach! The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. The beach was exclusive, very peaceful with with not many people. Everything was perfect, a hidden gem on the island. The restaurant was the best restaurant on the island and we went to many other restaurants. Would highly recommend!
