Very well located to get access to the tram and into Basel and also to drive south into some of the countryside. Parking was easy and away from traffic. Rooms were basic and a little dated but very clean and very good value for money. The team were kind and helpful, I don't speak any German and their English was good. The breakfast was good, a nice selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit and yoghurt. Well done the Lionesses for retaining the Euros :-)

“Business trip to Basel”
Very friendly staff. Free breakfast and free parking. Easily reachable and yet silent during the night. Good option to stay near Basel at a very friendly price.

“Visit to attend 50th Anniversary service for the 104 killed in 10th April 1973 aircrash in Hochwald.”
Breakfasts and dinner were very good even if the later was a bit expensive for us UK residents! Alexandia was extremely helpful in arranging transport on Easter Monday for the four of us before we we had arrived and her mother went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and a success. Would highly recommend this Gasthaus for its service and warm welcome.

The lady who runs the hotel has such a fantastic sense of humour and a common touch, she is wonderful. I will definitely stay there again. plus all of my colleagues agreed that the food was excellent.
