“Uniquely beautiful place with amazing hosts and breathtaking views”

We, including our seven month old baby, had the most wonderful stay in Aliori Art Caves and we ended up staying longer than originally planned. Kiriaki and Roberto truly made us feel at home. It is rare to find a place infused with so much heart, character, creativity, and warmth. The room was spacious, cosy, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything necessary. The bed was super comfortable and the general atmosphere of the room great. The breakfast was delicious, served on the terrace that we adored and could not get tired of. The view from the terrace to Agiali village, the sea and the mountains is stunning and the Aliori Art Caves biodiverse garden is just gorgeous! We also loved our daily walks to the center of Agiali and back - very easy and scenic, especially the route running along the Agiali beach, as well as visits to the nearby more private Levrossos beach. The location is brilliant in every way, including for the fact that one of the main hiking routes of the island (route No 4) passes by the entrance gate of the Aliori Art Caves. And you will most certainly not find more amazing, kind and caring hosts than Kiriaki and Roberto. Thank you for everything!

“The most wonderful, homely experience on Amorgos if you love the beach and art!”

The caves are completely wonderful, as is the view, location and of course, the owners! They are kind, fun and excellent hosts. This couple designed the caves themselves and have thought of everything. Roberto is an artist and has created many pieces within the caves. The caves are cool (temperature) as built into mountainside! We only had the ceiling fan on and no need for air con (even though it was available). Location is fabulous too - short walk to beach and town with nice restaurants. Can’t recommend enough - you’ll love it!

We loved the design, the architecture, the abundance of plants, the breakfast made with love, the location of the hotel where we can see the sea and the beautiful mountains and a view to some nearby villages and most importantly, the hospitality and kindness of roberto and Kiki! The place was so peaceful and calming and we felt at home.

Roberto and his wife were amazing hosts. The service they provided was both warm and discreet. The breakfast was just the right amount of delicate Greek food to start our four-day stay. Their advice was not only very accurate, but also showed how much they genuinely care about the needs of their guests. The place is superbly decorated by Roberto himself, as he is both a sculptor and an artist, and the garden is charming, filled with colorful flowers. Aliori is perfectly located—not too close to the noise of the port but not too far from the beach and restaurants. We wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else if we return to Amorgos. Last but not least, Roberto helped us through an epic situation when we forgot our laptop in the room while we were already near the port, ready to board the boat. Roberto met us halfway from Aegiali to Chora so we could retrieve it and make it to the boat on time! We already miss the peaceful yoga music Roberto plays while serving breakfast, but we must continue with the rest of our honeymoon!

We had an amazing stay at Aliori Art Caves and will definitely be back! Since it only had very few rooms, it was the perfect private escape for us. Every room is uniquely furnished, quite spacious and features a small private balcony from which you have lovely views down to the village. Also, the homemade breakfast was delicious and consists of organic ingredients which the hosts‘ get from their own garden or local farmers. Thanks to Roberto & his wife for welcoming us so warmly into your home!
