Just a minutes’ walk from a beautiful white sand beach, Adventure Bay Retreat Bruny Island offers luxury accommodation. Set on 33 acres of native bush land, guests can enjoy hiking. Adventure Bay Retreat is within a 10-minute drive of Bruny Chocolate and Fudge Factory and Bruny Island Berry Farm. It is a 20-minute drive from Bruny Island Cheese Co. The retreat offers a 3-bedroom lodge and a separate cottage. The lodge features a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge area with an open fireplace. Relax on your private deck overlooking the bay, complete with BBQ facilities. The en suite bathroom has a free standing bathtub. The cottage boasts a 2-person spa bath, luxurious linen and a fully equipped kitchen. It features a wood heater, a flat-screen TV and BBQ facilities.

The furnishings felt a bit worn and could use updating. The pantry supplies were limited, and some items were several years past their use-by date. We weren’t able to sit outside as the outdoor furniture cushions were wet. Additionally, the water supply was cut off on our last morning.

“Wildlife at your doorstep”
It was completely unexpected, but the wildlife at our front door was absolutely incredible. We've never seen anything like it! The cottage was warm and comfy. The bed was huge and super comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We used the slow-cooker which was really great to have considering the weather. We didn't use the spa bath, but it was large and looked like it would be great fun. Adventure Bay is a really central location to explore the Island from. The general store is close-by and has a really good range of just about everything you can think of. The retreat is a lovely, private location to relax and enjoy all the wonderful nature Bruny has to offer. We would definitely recommend and definitely book again.

“Amazing romantic cottage for experiencing wildlife and beautiful beaches.”
Adventure Bay cottage had a cozy romantic ‘feel good’ ambience as soon as we arrived. We felt immediately at home, comfortable and immersed in nature. The cottage is well appointed with a very comfortable bed and spa. We loved seeing the birds and wallabies including the white wallabies on the property from the porch.

“Fantastic rustic island accommodation”
A beautiful, peaceful easy to get to location. The house has a lot of character. It has big comfortable beds and I loved the big bath with the view out the window. A great balcony with seating and a bbq provided. It felt like a home away from home. Loved the coffee machine. Soft fluffy towels and plenty of them including free use of beach towels as we hadn't bought any along with us. I can imagine how cosy it would be for a winter stay with the big fireplace.

“A perfectly located, cosy cottage surrounded by nature, easy access to Adventure Bay’s highlights.”
The cottage is very conveniently located in Adventure Bay, just a few minutes from the cruise departure point and the start of the Fluted Cape Walk. I did both and they were truly amazing experiences. The cottage is set right in the middle of nature, and in the mornings and late afternoons I was surrounded by wallabies — two white wallabies even made a special appearance, which was unforgettable. The cottage itself is cosy, very well equipped, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. There is also a grocery store just a stone’s throw away, which was extremely convenient. An absolutely wonderful stay.

“Everything you need for a lovely get away. Exceptional!!”
Stayed in the cottage, wow, just beautiful. Everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Very private, beautiful outlook. Birds and wallabies all around. Very peaceful. Saw white wallaby out the front. Stayed 3 nights, would definitely recommend. Bigger than advertised (50m2), loads of space.
