“Decent hotel clean rooms and great staff”

The staff were amazing

We had a very nice stay in the hotel. The staff was kind and attentive, the location is perfect, near the beach but close to the city as well, with many shops and tavernas nearby. The breakfast was also very good.

“Great beachfront hotel for a restful holiday”

This is an attractive sea front hotel, luminous and tastefully decorated but the most outstanding feature was the warm, welcoming staff. They went above and beyond duty to ensure I had a wonderful stay. Local bus service just outside the hotel for guests without cars.

The staff are incredibly attentive and you genuinely feel looked after throughout your entire stay. The food quality is outstanding, with a great variety to suit everyone — even someone as fussy as me! Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with plenty of choice every time. The rooms are spacious, cleaned daily, and have everything you need — comfy beds, tea, coffee, water, and even cosy gowns (though they might be a little too large to sneak into your suitcase! 😄) Outside, the space is wonderfully relaxing — you can lounge by the pool or head straight to the beach, whatever takes your fancy. Day trips can also be booked right from the beach — great value and a brilliant way to explore the area. I'll definitely be back soon — wait for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

“A beautiful, welcoming hotel with fantastic facilities and staff that made our daughter’s first holiday truly unforgetta”

We had an amazing stay at Rethymno Palace and genuinely couldn’t fault it. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with spotless rooms and lovely grounds. There are plenty of facilities including a great indoor pool, well-kept tennis courts, and a fantastic pool and beach area with direct access to the sea. The beach bar was a real highlight—perfect for relaxing during the day—and special mention to Marko the barman who makes incredible cocktails and always brings a great atmosphere. Travelling with our 4-month-old daughter for her first holiday, we felt so well looked after. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel manager Andreas was outstanding—always available, multilingual, and happy to help with anything we needed which made our stay completely stress-free. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, and overall the hotel has a very warm, family-friendly feel.

I am very grateful for the service, attention, and quality of the hotel. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Many thanks to the ladies who cleaned my room each day. The buffet service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was impeccable—delicious, plentiful, and with a great variety. Likewise, the people who work in the restaurant and kitchen were very kind, helpful, and friendly. I spoke with some of them and they felt very welcoming. The pool and bar staff also provided excellent service and were very friendly. Similarly, the reception staff were friendly and willing to answer my questions. And many thanks to the manager, Andreas, who was clearly very focused on his work, making sure to be present for each guest, speaking to each of us in our own languages, and even remembering our names. He was very friendly and helpful, working to ensure everyone had the best possible stay. A very good hotel; I highly recommend it, and I will certainly return, and I hope to bring members of my company as well.

The hotel’s location was great, and the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. The grounds were large and beautiful. We visited at the end of October, and there weren’t many people, so there were enough sunbeds for everyone, the place wasn’t crowded, and the staff managed everything perfectly. The hotel has its own beach with sun loungers. A bottle of water was provided with every meal. The bar served delicious cocktails. There’s also table tennis and free parking available.

The location was perfect, right by the beach. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally lovely — everyone was so friendly, professional, and welcoming. The reception team were especially helpful and made our stay feel really special. We also loved the pool and the surroundings. Great selection of food for breakfast and amazing cocktails in the bar. I highly recommend this hotel!

“Pleasant hotel but lacking in many areas”

“It's not 5-star quality but you mostly get what you paid for”

our room was overlooking the pool and the beach and the view was really nice, and despite being above the restaurant we didn't hear much outside noice from the windows. it is really close to rethymno, the taxi usually cost 15-18€ to town. we asked the reception to call us a taxi. there is also a bus that goes to and from the town but there were a lot of people on the stops and we never used it so I can't comment on it. the beach is rocky indeed, so bring shoes for the water. you can also find some on the small shop inside the hotel, they had some for reasonable prices (8-15€). the breakfast is the only good buffet option I think, the pancakes were really nice and it's generally harder to mess up breakfast food. there are some sunbeds being monopolized by some guests leaving their towels on but we were still able to find sunbeds. most of the staff was friendly. overall we found the facilities to be clean, with some possible improvements to be made here and there, and we did enjoy our stay.

“Amazing, relaxing, the perfect getaway break, worth every penny.”

Location was superb, right on the beach, waking up to the waves each morning. The staff were always friendly and really helpful with any questions or issues we had. Food was delicious and plentiful during meal times. Our whole experience was super relaxing and exactly what we needed.
