Overview
Woodall Country House & Spa is a 5-star property offering luxury accommodation and gourmet cuisine in a peaceful location. The guesthouse is close to Addo Elephant Park and Shamwari Game Reserve. This boutique hotel has just 11 guest rooms, all of which have a private veranda overlooking the pretty gardens. All of the rooms also boast a private outdoor shower. Breakfast is served buffet-style each morning. Lunches can be enjoyed poolside or on the sun deck and dinner is available in the thatched dining room that overlooks the water. Guests at Woodall Country House can arrange game drives and bird-watching locally. Other leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, gym and spa.

An absolutely outstanding property with a beautiful atmosphere, immaculately maintained and perfectly located. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive — Freddie in particular stood out in every way. His piano playing during dinner was a special highlight and truly elevated the entire experience. Ideal base for excursions to Addo Elephant Park.

“A perfect idyll with the scent of orange blossom”
After an amazing journey through South Africa this stay was the perfect finish! What a marvellous and relaxing place with a beautiful garden, extremly friendly and helpful staff and you are always surrounded by that lovely smell of orange blossom. The rooms were perfectly clean and lovingly furnished. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the piano player just made it perfect. We could have sit on that lovely and cozy terrace all day watching the weaver birds building their nest. The drive through the Addo Elephant Park was so much fun and even after visiting the Kruger Nationalpark really impressive.

“Beautiful stay near Addo Elephant Park”
The service was excellent and breakfast and dinner was very delicious. Dinner was accompanied by fantastic live piano music 🎶. The distance to Addo Elephant Park is just 8-10km and it's just a fantastic park. The whole staff is exceptionally warm hearted and very nice. Family like atmosphere!

“Great for visiting Addo Elephants Park!”
We enjoyed our stay here. The whole hotel crew is lovely and attentive. Unfortunately we had cold water in the shower but the manager personally took care of it and within 30 minutes the problem was solved. We were also offered another room as an alternative. The manager is very concerned about his guests. Very nice to see something like this and to feel valued as customer!

Amazing place, in the heart of the nature so that you feel like in a new dimension. The staff is extremely kind (especially Frederic, that cheered our dinner playing the piano!), and the room really big and cleaned. I had one of my best breakfast in my South Africa trip! Had the most incredible stay. Beautiful Hotel, very friendly staff that went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer! Lots of personal touches, a bedtime story left on our Sons cot, handwritten notes, chocolates etc.

The entire experience from room comfort and cleanliness to the fabulous restaurant food at breakfast and most specially the dinner...exceptional! On our first night we had one of the best meals of our entire 6 week trip throughout South Africa! The manager, Fred, and his staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We were visiting on the last two days of the season, and we loved the property, very private and safe, and the grounds were charming. We will look forward to a future visit and highly recommend the property when visiting the Addo Elephant park and the region!
