“A Memorable experience with Giraffes”

My partner and I were thrilled to be lucky enough to see zebras and a giraffe on the edge of the driveway as we drove to the Lodge. We stayed three nights and we saw giraffes close by on two of our morning walks. One evening we had two giraffes outside our chalet for half an hour. We did the Giraffe Walk with Kerneels and got up close to several giraffes and saw zebras, impalas, wildebeest and nylas. One giraffe was less than a metre from me, eating leaves above me and then licked my camera! It was very special to be so close. The accommodation was excellent, food delicious and staff super friendly and helpful. We are so glad we spent three days at Valley Bushveld Country Lodge.

“A wonderful experience, with no need for a car.”

The lodge is 50km from the airport and is 50minutes from the Addo. With 40 euros in uber you arrive and you don't need the car. The property will recommend a reliable Uber driver. The tours organised by them are excellent and recommended, it's really worth it.The place is beautiful, uncontaminated peace in the company of cute animals.We recommend dinner and breakfast — the food is excellent and plentiful. In any case, there would be no possibility to purchase food inside the property and/or to consume it there.

We loved it at the Valley Bushveld Country Lodge. It was amazing to just walk on the property and see all the wonderful animals (giraffes, zebras and so on) 😍. We booked our safari from the lodge and Giovanni out guide did an amazing job. We had the best safari we could imagine. We definitely highly recommend this place.

“Amazing experience with Girafas!”

Amazing Place! Beautiful views from the lodge and chales. You can see many animals around your room. They have safari tours on off-road vehicle and you can walk with Giraffas. The breakfast and dinner are delicious! The Staff was very friendly. We loved stay here. I highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Valley Bushveld! The chalets are a great size with a large bathroom and kitchenette. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. We joined for breakfast and dinner each morning and were fed so much delicious food! We also joined the giraffe tour and were able to get up close to the resident giraffes around the property as well as view a lot of the other animals around the property. The property is safe and secure, and we felt so comfortable there. We would 100% stay here again and will recommend staying here to all of our friends!

“The Perfect Family-run Safari Lodge!”

Only a 40 min drive from PE, a family-run beautiful safari lodge. As soon as we arrived we went on their giraffe safari which I'd highly recommend. They have 20 giraffes at the lodge which come right up to the cabins and you get closer to these beautiful creatures than on any other safari. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and clean - and the beds were so comfy. Vanessa had organised a full day safari for us at Addo Elephant Park the next day, and Giovanni made sure we saw most of the game. I think he was more disappointed than us that we didn't see the lioness close up, but we got very close to the elephants, zebras, impala (including the rare black ones) and kudu. The day flew by and we finished with a 3-course meal at the lodge which was absolutely delicious! Our only regret was that we didn't have longer at the lodge and I'd definitely recommend a minimum 3 night stay for time to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. One of the nicest all-round places we've stayed and we would definitely stay there again. What a gem!

Everything was exceptional. The giraffe walk was amazing. The chalet was well designed and had everything you needed.

An excellent and comfortable place with good and well cooked food. Missed the evening drive and having talked to other residents wished that I attended.

“A Giraffe Sanctuary. A Soulful Place”

The attention to detail in and around the lodges is limitless and intentional. From a warm and informative welcome, beautiful and very comfortable accommodation, to food cooked with love, everything was outstanding. To be greeted by one of the twenty giraffes, next to the pool area, within 15 minutes of arrival was breathtaking! If you want to experience tranquility and awe, I highly recommend the walking safari, it is a sacred and humbling experience indeed. The lodge was far more than a stop-over place, a two night stay in this giraffe sanctuary is medicine for the soul.

Lovely remote location - but handy enough for getting to Addo. Ability to walk around the reserve/estate was great - and the giraffe walk/drive was very well worth it. Also excellent food.

“What an experience, in every respect!”

I don't know where to begin, as everything was so abundant and inspiring. I may start with the team which truly is the heart of this place, a BIG thank you to Vanessa, Kerneels, Nico, Giovianni and the rest of the team for making this an unforgettable experience. The whole lodge just perfectly ties into that feeling. As for the rooms, we had one of the Chalets which is a very spacious and comfortable choice for 4 persons. And when you stand on the terrace in the morning and watch giraffes, impalas and wildebeest eating, you freeze with happiness and awe!

Everything it was as described. Our hosts were amazing, we walked with Giraffes and woke to find them outside around the cabins, amazing. Evening meal was superb as well. Well recommended

“Just perfect”

We felt very welcome and at home here from the very first moment. Vanessa, Kerneels, their daughter and everyone else are incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially the giraffe walk with Kerneels and the guided safari in Addo and Schotia were an absolute highlight and more than recommendable. The lovingly prepared and totally delicious food was also fantastic. The chalets are beautiful and you can see more than just giraffes from the terrace. Thank you so much for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you. We would love to come back!

“We had a great stay in Valley Bushveld Country lodge and we'll come back next year for a longer stay”

Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed breakfast and an excellent dinner every evening of our stay. Room was spacious and very clean. This is a place to recommend! We booked one Giraffe Tour beforehand but decided to book another one when we were there. It was spectacular!
