Overview
Offering rambling gardens and a popular local pub, The Kraal B&B is situated in Addo. Built in 1844, this now restored hotel retains its colonial charm and acts as a gateway to the Addo Elephant National Park, just 15km away. Our property is surrounded by the green orchards of Addo and even though our B&B is situated on the edge of Addo you will still hear the African rhythm coming from the local village. Most of our rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating. Our bathrooms are equipped with a shower, basic bathroom amenities and a hairdryer will be provided should one be required. Our Cozy rooms as well as our Luxury rooms are situated inside the hotel, whereas our Dorm rooms and Semi-Self Catering rooms are situated on the outside of the hotel. The Kraal offers breakfast, served in the dining room, while the pub is a frequent favorite for locals and visitors alike. Guests can relax in the comfortable TV room, while there is outdoor space for the kids to play. The Kraal B&B also offers shuttle services and various activities for guests to enjoy at a surcharge and we do offer free WiFi to all our guests. Port Elizabeth International airport is 58km away, while Grahamstown is within a 1 hour, 30 minutes drive of the property.

A very big room with a king size bed. The kitchen is large with a hotplate. You can also have a braai outside. Good wifi. And there is a small plunge pool in summer. A bargain for the price, if a little far from Addo NP ...

I always love the freedom of this place and how I can always stay up outside till late and there is a bar and braai area. I definitely loved my room.

“Lovely place to stay with amazing food!”
We stayed at Kraal Addo for one night on our way to Coffee Bay. We enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon at the pool outside and had an amazing dinner afterward (Kudu steak and Thai Chicken Curry, soooo delicious!). The hosts Collin and Samantha were fantastic, we had the coolest evening in the bar, and thanks to their hint the next day we took a different road than planned - and were able to see elephants and buffalos! Definitely the best place to stay when in Addo area!

We enjoyed the quite surrounds and working farm environment. It was close to our destinations,Addo National park was 13minutes away.

Ive logged a complaint. We left the property on the 14th as there is no restaurant that's open, no bar, no pool, no entertainment, wrong unit. The place is under construction!

“Simple, comfortable, clean and friendly.”
It appears to have had it’s glory days, but it is a comfortable and friendly base to have near Addo Elephant National Reserve. The people are really nice and go out of their way to help.

“Disaster with a captial D!!!!”
What a disaster. I would not even let my dead dog spend ONE night there. Dirty, sloppy, Unkept, Untidy, it was just totally not what the photo's said, maybe the photo's were taken 100 years ago!!!!!

“Don't give the reviews of this place any benefit of a doubt. Lol.”
Bad service, Staff and owner are good at apologies but no solutions. Pool dirty from day 1 till we left, frog enjoyed the swim(literally). Definitely not value for money rather spend a thousand or more for better accomodation, it's nothing as depicted on pictures. It was only available accomodation for duration we wanted. We cut our holiday shorter.

“Exceeded expectations”
The room was clean and spacious with a functional and quiet A/C. With a small kitchenette and fridge and tea and coffee for convenience. There was easy access to outside for my dog to use his own facilities.
