Overview
Located on a malaria-free private game reserve,15 km from Addo Elephant National Park, the privately owned Kudu Ridge Game Lodge offers B&B accommodation in safari tents and bush chalets. At Kudu Ridge Game Lodge all the safari tents and chalets are en-suite, private and set in the indigenous Addo bush. The lodge serves South African cuisine in the dining room and outdoor boma around the fire. There is a well stocked bar and a bush bar for game viewing sundowners. Facilities include free WiFi, a communal big screen television, open-air fire pit and viewing deck overlooking the reserve, the Sundays River Valley and Addo Elephant National Park. Wildlife includes kudu, bushbuck, impala, zebra, as well as numerous birds and rare plant species. Safari trips to Addo Elephant National Park are offered on open safari vehicles to view elephants, rhino, buffalo, giraffe and more. Activities such as canoeing on the Sundays River, elephant back safaris, quad biking and guided tours can be arranged on request. The property has one of the longest double zip-lines in South Africa on site. Kudu Ridge is a 45-minute drive from the airport, beaches and shopping malls of Port Elizabeth.

“Good and comfortable”
The facility offers various accommodation options; I chose a tent. Remember to bring earplugs because it can be quite noisy, but that's normal, it's a tent. The owner and staff were very understanding and always helpful. The tent was spacious and very comfortable.

“Kudu Ridge welcome”
The owners were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. We spent only one night but would have happily stayed longer. If you areinto luxury stays this is not it, it is simple and basic but everything you need and when you like to camp.

“Amazing “at home” experience.”
Had such a great stay - from check-in we just felt at home. Demetri the manager was amazing, and is a very nice guy. We had dinner there the first night where you get to sit around the fire and chat with other guests and the owners Brian and Jenny. The game-drive is a MUST, so good and get to see lions and giraffes.
