5 Star Honeymoon destination

Stunning set-up and ambiance. Excellently run with attention to detail, and each guest is individually prioritized. Feels raw and immersed in African nature, with many non-imposing luxuries. We were so impressed we extended our stay an extra night. 5Star accommodation meets private safari.

Great location at a waterhole but few sightings on game drives

Gorah Elephant Camp has a great location at a waterhole where we saw elephants, zebras, warthogs and rhinos (at night).

Most amazing guide Hanri, a beautiful lodge and a waterhole attracting various animals all day long.

Beautiful location and the waterhole attracted a fantastic variety of animals, of course especially elephants. The most fantastic guide Hanri made our 8 game drives unique. His knowledge on animals, but also history and development of Southafrica were amazing. And we had so much fun.

Gorah doesn’t feel like a stay, it feels like being remembered by the wild.

The staff didn’t just host, they held space for magic. I came for wildlife… I left feeling wildly alive.

Luxury in the wilds of Addo National Park

A few days of pure indulgence. Staff were attentive, enthusiastic, polite and friendly. Hot water bottles in the bed were a real treat as the weather was not brilliant. Atmosphere in the lodge was totally amazing. Wildlife viewing on the safaris and from the lodge itself were out of this world. Our guide in the safaris was excellent, attentive, enthusiastic and very friendly - willing to impart his knowledge. Being escorted back to our tent was atmospheric and totally needed as one night we had lions within 200m of our tent. The catering staff made me a wonderful birthday cake - even though I was not able to get accommodation on my actual birthday

Loved our stay here. Would return in a heartbeat

Bukela Lodge is one of our favourite lodges The facilities are excellent, food is first class and staff are wonderful. JJ our ranger was a wealth of information, with great game drives. Great selection of wildlife We got to see our first black rino's complete with horns

Close to nature, family like hospitality and top quality and service

Excellent place to stay. We were very warmly welcomed and the staff made us feel home from the very beginning throughout our stay. The camp is located in the middle of the park and there are plenty of animals coming by. You always feel safe. The staff does great safaris in the park and we saw a great bunch of animals from close. And the food is truly first class. An unforgettable experience

Ideal place if one has limited time but would like to experience an African bush feeling.

Unexpected amazing experience. Close to Geberha but middle in the bush with extremly friendly and helpful staff, excellent kitchen, plenty of game and romantic candle light evenings. Keep going on like this!

Awesome doesn't go anywhere near to describing this inspirational place!

This is a truly amazing and completely enthralling place. Magnificently set out in a glorious setting with the main building and the suites (I cannot call them tents - they are much better than that) surrounding a large waterhole which attracts wildlife to drink while you enjoy breakfast delivered by caring, attentive and committed staff who pull out all the stops to make sure you have the best time here (big shout out to Nellie, Zorro, Donald and Mavis). They knew my wife was glued and dairy intolerant so baked and cooked delicious items specifically for her. The rangers are exceptional. Their knowledge of the flora, fauna and all the animal life teaming within this vast arena is immeasurable and makes the drives out in the very comfortable specially designed transporters so interesting. Verna, our ranger, (who we went out with on our own) also had a warm and gentle demeanour tinged with a keen sense of humour but focussed on his love of the creatures which bless this place. The way he talked to the huge beasts which came extremely close to our wagon was surreal. They seemed to love him right back. I have kept a list of all the creatures we saw and admired and I can honestly say this tops all our holidays around the world. I will never forget this part of South Africa, the beautiful landscape, the wonderful wildlife roaming so freely and, above all, the people who maintain it for our benefit. We consider ourselves blessed to have enjoyed it.

Well worth a visit.

The staff and food at Gorah are awesome. Having a meal or a drink with the game only a stone throw away was the best. No windows, bars or obstructions between you and the elephants drinking water on the door step is something I would never forget. On our first morning I was worked by the roar of one of the lions and was fortunate enough to see him pass close by.

Incredible way to spend time in Addo

Incredible setting in the middle of the national park by a watering hole. The service was stellar and the atmosphere was beautiful. Lacked for nothing. You had access to roads in the national park that were closed to the general public so could see animals away from the main roads as well, on the morning and afternoon game drives.
