Overview
Nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Zuurberg Mountains, this working citrus farm offers self-catering cottages and chalets. It is 5km from the Addo Elephant National Park. Thatched roofs and an elevated wooden deck provide an African feel to the private wooden cottage. Each is equipped with a refrigerator, open-air shower and flushable toilet. Guests can prepare meals on their own braai. The elegantly decorated chalets are air conditioned and offer a private bathroom. Each features a traditional lapa with porcupine quill lamp shades. Addo Dung Beetle Guest Farm features a garden with natural splash pool. It also offers a hot tub. Guests can enjoy a full English breakfast daily and the Dung Beetles’ bar serves a wide range of drinks from 12:00 pm until 20:00 pm. Dinner to be booked 48 hours in advance at an additional cost. Port Elisabeth is 65 km from the hotel and Indian Ocean beaches are just a 45-minute drive away. Addo Guest Farm offers free private parking for all the in-house guests. Your property description is created according to the facilities and amenities you add. It’s then translated into multiple languages. Do not be surprised by the access road, which leads through fields and orchards. The bush cabin was clean and full of rustic charm, and the kitchen had everything needed for preparing meals. The surroundings are wonderfully natural, with a small pond and friendly animals adding to the atmosphere. Showering outdoors with a beautiful view, just before a thunderstorm, was an unforgettable experience. Breakfast can be ordered, and we tried it once; it was simple but enjoyable.

Lovely view, helpful staff. They even organise all the facilities for bus to braai in the main building and when we had an emergency and needed assistance they came to help.

Beautiful early morning sunrise view from our 'Dungball" unit. Breakfast was very good and staff friendly and very accommodating. Loved the decor and construction of the 'dungball' unit. So quirky and made it a unique stay.
