I stayed at Subash Hotel during my visit to the area, and there were several positive aspects worth highlighting. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute Tuk Tuk ride to the start of Adam’s Peak and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, making it very convenient for hikers and nature lovers. The hotel even offers an early-morning Tuk Tuk ride for those doing the 2 am climb, which was incredibly helpful. The family running the place were friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the stay. The food was tasty, though it did take a little while to arrive at times). Having a small shop on the premises was definitely convenient.

“Very kind staff and great help for Adam’s Peak”

The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. They even accompanied us all the way to the foot of Adam’s Peak, which was really appreciated and made the experience much easier and more enjoyable. I felt very well taken care of and would definitely recommend this place!

There is a nice view from the terrace and the owners were helpful with the checkin and bags. It was quiet in the morning & the rooms were clean.

“Cozy, friendly homestay right on the lake.”

You won't find better hosts than Subash and his family. Subash picked us up from Hatton and also drove us to and from Adam's Peak (at 2:30am!) - all with a smile and great sense of humour. We were well fed and they went out of their way to accommodate any requests. The homestay is also set right next to the lake/reservoir, which is accessible via a walk through tea plantations. We definitely found this a highlight and made it worth staying out of town a little for.

Subash and his wife are amazing, their hospitality is impeccable. They provided alot of information about the area, allowing us to truly explore. They also provide drop off at the base of sri pada, which was especially helpful if you are climbing in the early morning. Furthermore, their food is a must try (coming from a srilankan), the rice and curry is so delicious. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, it was a pleasure to there.

The room was very clean and well-kept, exactly as described. The price matches the quality – a perfect place for a relaxing stay. A big plus are the homemade meals prepared by the owner’s wife – delicious, fresh, and made with care. I can honestly recommend this place!

They cooked us breakfast and dinners any time and all fresh and very tasty!!! Our daughter loved chicken curry. The man and his family always caring. We were in 4 bed room - clean and ok for our stay. The accommodation is not in center of Nallathaniya, but easy walk there through tea plantations and local villages (Laxapana)…. also exciting to see local living.

Close to Adam’s peak and the owner will arrange a tuktuk to bring you at the trailhead for sunrise, very nice and friendly with good communication. Good food !

The service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. However the pillow was a little uncomfortable. Overall it is a good place. Recommended.
