Situated in two 15th-century buildings part of a mediaeval, hilltop hamlet 3 km from Acquasanta Terme, Castel Di Luco offers classic-style rooms with wood-beamed ceilings. “Amazing castle, bringing the past to life.”
A very special place to spend even one night! The host welcomed us with a short tour, explaining about the history of the castle. The dining rooms bring the past to live with the beautiful paintings on the ceilings and walls. Breakfast was a treat too!

“A wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary and better still because they are dog friendly”
The castle has a 1000 year old history which the owners shared with us when they gave us a guided tour. It was sympathetically restored and updated to make a very comfortable stay. The location makes it easy to get to the mountains but equally to local historical towns. But above all the owners are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.

This castle is over 1000 years old and has been restored beautifully into 9 room accommodation- loved staying here in a piece of Italian history! We even had the owner Francesco give us a guided tour of he’s ancestral home - it’s amazing!!

“A unique historical place with modern comfort and warm hospitality”
We were guests at Castel di Luco for 5 days with our two boys and our dog. The warmth and hospitality cannot be beaten. The castle has an incomparable medieval charm, which is beautifully combined with a restrained aesthetic modernity. You can tell in every detail that the preservation of the castle and the well-being of its visitors is a matter close to the heart of the hosts. The owner's sister bakes the most delicious cakes to enjoy for breakfast. Since I don't tolerate eggs, she even makes extra cakes and cookies without eggs! The highlights included the personal castle tour with many interesting historical insights as well as the delicious dinner with many delicacies from the region - thank you very much, we had wonderful days in this special place!

The atmosphere of the castle is amazing and the staff were always willing to help, such as carry bags up the steps. The cost per night is not cheap, but how often do you stay in a 14 century castle.

Castel di Luco was everything you wanted it to be as in - staying in a Castle. The Castle tour was very worthwhile. I felt the dinner in the dining room lacked a certain casualness and was very formal - give the food was local and casual.
