Overview
Right in the heart of the charming and picturesque town of Aci Trezza, just 40 metres from the sea, the hotel offers good facilities and comfortable accommodation at great rates. The hotel is just a very short walk from the water and the town’s famous Isole Dei Ciclopi (or Islands of the Cyclops’). According to local legend, these 3 tall, column-shaped islands are the rocks which were thrown at Ulysses in The Odyssey. With the Hotel Malavoglia as a comfortable base, you can enjoy the region’s great water sports facilities, including scuba diving schools, boat trips and fishing. Alternatively, you may prefer an excursion to Mount Etna to enjoy the stunning natural beauty and spectacular scenery of the mountains and the volcano itself. Fully renovated, the hotel’s facilities include a meeting room with a capacity of 200 people.

Lovely hotel in the charming Sicilian village of Aci Trenzza, roughly 10 km from Catania. Very helpful and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us as a blind couple. Tactile numbers on the room doors, so we could find are comfy, large room. Doulbe, with duvet and extra pillows. Free, good speed WiFi. Hotel has restaurant, open for lunch and, occasionally, dinner. Swimming, bar, 24 hour staffed reception. Plenty of chairs/tables and some comfy sofers to relax. The village centre and rock beach is a 5/10 minute walk. A few good restaurants in the village centre. Free continental breakfast served daily between 7.30 and 10 am. Lift/elevator to all floors.

“Interesting area and very clean hotel.”
Excellent breakfast: a substantial buffet with a real variety of fresh food and great coffee. Nice if compact swimming pool. When we asked for a taxi in the morning, a member of the hotel staff drove us into town for a very reasonable charge.

Very good breakfasts (not just sweet ones), clean and spacious rooms, and friendly staff. Parking is available at the property for a fee, but you can also find free spaces in front of the building.

I liked a lot the Hotel. The swimming pool, the bar at the swimming pool, the rooms, the bathrooms, the balconies. The most I like the staff. They were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. I liked especially Giovanni at the swimming pool bar! He was always very nice!
