This is a great place to explore Achill Island in Mayo. Carmel was a great host, quick to respond if needed, with great suggestions, but allowing us our privacy. The apartment was comfortable and clean. If you stay do try to explore the nearby Deserted Village.

Location is great 5 min away from Keem Bay 🏖️

Lots of personal touches that helped us relax and stay at the apartment - Toiletries, control of the heating and free wood and peat for the wood burner, Plenty of useful extras - tin foil, salt and pepper, ketchup, lots of toilet paper etc.

The apartment was great—really cosy and had everything I needed for my stay. The turf fire was such a lovely touch and made the place feel warm and homely. I especially enjoyed the smell of turf burning from the neighbouring houses—it added so much character and made the stay feel really special for me!

The place was nicer than maybe the pictures show. The Kitchen had everything you need and location was a 20 min walk out from Keel itself which was ok for us.

Charming apartment, in fact it's a stand-alone small 2-storey building. Very private. Lovely host lady lives in neighbouring house. Well equipped kitchen. Parking. Courtyard with little patio table, lined on 2 sides by flowers and shrubs. Home from home. Short drive in either direction to main attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

“Affordable stay on Achill”

There was everything we needed at this property and it was very quiet and private. Carmel the hostess was very welcoming and sent us a couple of emails before our stay which was very thoughtful. As mentioned, on arrival, Bella the dog was the meet and greet. The property is about a 20 minute walk to both Keel and Dooagh, which is the location of the restaurants and pubs. Both villages are small and pretty.

The apartment was perfect for our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals and the apartment was very comfortable to relax in. Would highly recommend.

The appartment was lovely clean and cosy very well equiped everything you needed was there. The host was very nice and helpful and Bella the dog was waiting to greet you when you arrived . Had a lovely enjoyable holiday beautiful island would highly recomend.
