Overview
Three miles outside Acharacle, just over 1 hour’s drive from Fort William, Mingarry Park provides luxury 4-star Gold accommodation and a seasonal award-winning restaurant serving Scottish cuisine in the western Highlands. This Argyll guest house offers free parking and WiFi, stylish rooms and full Scottish breakfasts. Each luxurious room at Mingarry Park has been individually designed and includes an en-suite bathroom with shower and complementary Highland Aromatics toiletries. There 32 inch LCD Smart TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. The deluxe rooms feature a private balcony or decking with mountain views. You can enjoy a cooked Scottish breakfast all year round apart from the month of November and it comes with free-range eggs and local bacon and sausage, or a continental buffet selection with cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice. There is also warming porridge topped with honey, and fresh tea and coffee. The seasonal 2 Rosette AA-awarded restaurant serves fresh local produce in the dining room with views of Ben Resipole. Ardnamurchan Distillery can be reached within a 35-minute drive. Lochailort is 17 miles from Mingarry Park.

Stayed in the larger pod suite, outside and away from the main hotel. When we got to the door we were amazed by how cosy it was and the wonderful scenery to pair with it. The cabin was cute and boasted a hot tub and sauna which is a real treat. There was complimentary hot chocolate (hotel chocolate with all the trimmings), coffee pods, and chocolates on the pillows. Dressing gown and slippers hung up ready for use and all of the standard amenities you expect, my partner was surprised that even hair straiteners were available.

Breakfast and evening meals were very good. Location is excellent, very scenic, and lots of nice walks and places to visit nearby, such as Castle Tioram. Good middle ground for those also visiting Skye.

ive been to Mingarry 3 times now. What I value is the really friendly and accommodating hoteliers and stalkers that go the extra mile for you because they love it.You find that with John & Emma McDonald at “Mingarry Park”. That area of the world is probably the most beautiful in all of Scotland and probably Europe, its liking going into a fairy world and if you fly to Glasgow and drive up you get to drive through Glen Coe. John is probably the best stalker i've been out with. The hotel that Emma has created is immaculate and warm and Emma is a fantastic host who goes the extra mile, even booking our meals out of the hotel when we were not able to eat in. Rooms are warm in winter, beds are huge and comfy and i can't understand how they are kept so clean.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location. The fact it is family owned and has been for many years including its previous incarnation is so refreshing in Scotland today. We were kindly upgraded to the hot tub suites and the experience of watching the sun come up above Ben Resipol from the hot tub was something to remember. Rooms and bathrooms were gorgeous. The restaurant provided a lovely evening meal and breakfast.

“Beautiful Hotel, in a Beautiful Location, run by lovely people,”
The Hotel is in a superb location, so peaceful and quiet with fantastic views from our room. Very clean and fresh, the room had everything we needed, Beautiful inside and outside. Breakfast was good, a good choice on the menu for breakfast. The staff were so helpful and friendly, Emma the host, was brilliant. She made sure our stay was exceptional and we were well looked after by all the staff. The pods outside were lovely to be in and to sit in them at night and look at the stars was awesome. Loved all the Ducks too, adorable to watch them and all the other wildlife that visited. If you want a place to unwind and relax, this is definitely for you.
