“A lovely, welcoming place to stay in Achao.”
Casa Quinchao is run by two lovely people, Cecilia and Mario, who are among the friendliest people I met during my two weeks in Chile (which is saying something--I never encountered anyone who was unfriendly!) They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The location is superb: right on the bay in Achao--you step from the porch onto the seaside walkway and in less than 10 minutes you are in the middle of town.

“A fabulous base to explore the island.”
Our only regret is we didn't stay long enough! This place deserves at least a few days if you want to unwind and explore the island, it makes a great base. It's located beachfront in Achao and our bedroom had a fabulous view of the beach and islands. The sky at sunrise and sunset was beautiful. It was peaceful, quiet and comfortable. Our hosts Cecilia and Mario were all we could have hoped for. Super friendly and hospitable, and really interesting to talk to. We stayed the following night in Ancud, and I really wish we had stayed the extra night at Hotel CasaQuinchao instead.
