Perfect location and wonderful home. The property was ideal for visiting the island, in a beautiful quiet location and easy to access main roads for getting out and about. It was a super comfortable place with great beds, super clean and all you could need.

“Would always recommend”
Nice modern and spacious house. It was clean and well-equipped. The fireplace was efficient in heating the house. Several nice hikes in walking distance, but I would always recommend renting a car. The house is quiet, despite being close to the main road (not much traffic, at least in the winter). Great views from the patio! Great location to get to everywhere on the island.

“Has all the appliances you need to self cater, wonderful location away from the crowds”
Had everything you need to live self catering here. Good quality washing machine and dishwasher, plenty of plates and cutlery etc. Nice outdoor space for evening sun. Electric shutters made getting the place light safe very easy. Excellent patio door that showed great views from the dining table.

We felt very comfortable and at home in Cantinho da Ilha. The house has everything you would need and is well situated in a quaint and quiet little village. The view from the house and terrace is beautiful, and it is a close walk to the beautiful Poço Azul.

The property is huge, Wi-Fi is excellent and the host we met was very friendly. This property has had a lot of investment previously but for now just needs some end of season love and care which I am sure the hosts will do.

Great value property! It was comfortable, spacious and clean. We loved our stay here with the view down over the sea. It was convenient to be able to wash our clothes. The bikes were available. It’s in a good spot, very near a waterfall and quite close to the tea estate, the beaches on the North coast, Lake Fogo, Caldeira Velha and Furnas. All recommended. I think it is good to have a hire car then you can explore with ease from this fantastic base! Thanks for the breakfast delivery too, yummy bread and juice. Wish we’d stayed here longer!
