“Classic hotel with a great location.”

This classic Acapulco hotel is a little run down, but it has a great location overlooking La Quebrada where the cliff divers perform. It's part of Acapulco's history - check out the Wall of Fame in the restaurant, with pictures of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra from the hotel's heyday. It has great views of the cliff divers, which I had never seen before. I thought it might be a bit cheesy, but it's actually awesome to see and we were glad to be there - we watched all five of the daily shows. There are two fresh water pools that are clean and well-maintained, and they've walled in a section of the sea where you can swim in relatively safety while huge waves crash on the seawalls.

The view was amazing. I could see the Pacific Ocean. The installations are excellent and I could enjoy the landscapes and the nature. There were beautiful swimming pools to relax. I could eat a delicious breakfast at the open-air restaurant while I was looking at some divers, the turtles and the sea.

This is what Acapulco is all about. Forget the fancy hotels and the shallow facade of the newer parts of the town; real Acapulco is here, in this fading but beautiful hotel. Ignore the reviews about steps and distance from restaurants (it's on a cliff - what do you expect?) Staff are faultless, breakfast is fantastic, and the views are the best you can get.

Location is very good, right in the centre of town if that is what you are looking for. We wanted to see the cliff divers so for us, it was great. Pools are nice and clean. The lobby area is beautiful.

As I said in a formal post: The location is perfect if you wanna see the cliffdivers. Staff is friendly and helpful. It all depent^ds on the quality of rooms you get. I had to change rooms, what as such was not a problem. The second room had an increadible view ond both side, to the open see and to the Acapulco bay. The second room was very old, there were no towels, when I got there. The dangagrous thing to me are the rusty handrails on the stairway, wich can really become a security issue. There are renovationg, I hope they fix this soon.

If you are in Acapulco to see the cliffdivers, that's the perfect spot to be. From the balkony of the Lobby asfrom the restaurants below you have a perfect view of the spectaculous shows - without crowds. The staff is friedly an d helpful. You also have access to old town. It will take you a little longer to the fancy aerea "diamante" - but it's duable. Overall it's good value - depends what quality room you get though.
