Here’s the updated review with your final addition: “This was our fourth stay at Nordic Hotel Abuja, chosen for its comfort, cleanliness, and nearby pool facilities. Normally, the staff is very friendly, but this time the reception team was disappointing. We requested a late check-out, willing to pay extra since our flight wasn’t until 11 p.m. and I’m currently pregnant. However, we had to ask three times and were told each time to come back later, only for Erica at reception to finally say it wasn’t possible because they were fully booked. She didn’t even check availability when we asked. When we checked ourselves, rooms were still available. After I confronted them with this, we received a ‘cancellation’ excuse, which felt more like an attempt to cover a mistake. In the end, we ended up paying for an extra night just to secure the late check-out. Additionally, the hotel appears to be facing a towel shortage. We received only one in our room and had to request more, which never arrived. Pool towels weren’t available either, and when we did get a towel, we were told to “make sure we bring it back”—an inappropriate comment, considering we hadn’t received the full service we paid for. We didn’t complain, as we’re not the type to fuss. We’ve also noticed new staff every time we visit, which may contribute to these issues. The reception, in general, isn’t as kind as it used to be; most of the staff don’t even look up when you’re at the desk or when you walk in. It doesn’t feel as welcoming as it once did. As loyal, returning guests, we expect better service, but this experience has left us disappointed. It may be time to say goodbye to Nordic Hotel.”

Breakfast was great with everything needed. Coffee is very nice. Staff is fantastic and very polite and helpful. I was upgraded to a superior room (apartment) free of charge. The food in the Blu Cabana Restaurant next door (same ownership) is great and diversified. It is one of the best if not the best place to stay in Abuja.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Rooms are spacious with all amenities required - even bathroom slippers and a hairdryer. The breakfast is diversified enough and of good quality with very good coffee. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The BluCabana Restaurant (same ownership) is next door, and has a variety of good food and drinks for the rest of the day. The restaurant has also a swimming pool and a nice terrace. A fully equipped gym is available on site. It is a good place to spend your time in Abuja and I would definitely come back.

I love the deco and the ambiance of the hotel. It was quiet and private. and not overwhelming. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms smell nice without any overwhelming smell of air freshener that you experience in many hotels.

It is nice that the hotel is next to Cabana Blu and there is a very good gym. The rooms are clean and decent.
