“Beautiful hotel and lovely staff”

This is such a beautiful and tranquil hotel. The facilities are beautiful and the view on the lake is very nice. Our room was spacious and clean. We really appreciate to have a private terrace. Staff is really lovely and accommodating. They were able to organise a drive in a very comfortable mini van for us and our friends from Aswan to the hotel. The restaurant is also very decent.

Very good location near Nile and Abu Simbel Temple. Beautiful Nubian style. They have private boat and can offer boat tour to the temple. We did it in the afternoon and experienced the sunset with the temple. They can also help you to arrange temple light show.

“Lovely hotel in picturesque location”

We were given a room in a brand new wing based upon Nubian design with super views of the lake. Room has tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning, fan, refrigerator and balcony and chairs with lake view. Good WIFI. Excellent shower with hot water so the room more than met all our needs. Breakfast is a set meal with fresh omelette, bread, cheese, and jam with tea/coffee and juice. Also has dinner here similarly good. It was a set menu with choice of fish, chicken, or vegetables. We spent time on the balcony after returning from the temple which had a surprising range of bird life. Super friendly people too. 20 minute walk to the temple.

“A great placw to stay when visiting Abu Simbel.”

It’s in a great spot overlooking the water with lots of birdlife to enjoy. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It’s a 20 minute walk or short ride to the Abu Simbel temples. The rooms were well appointed and clean. Dinner out on the terrace was lovely. Make sure you allow enough time on your stay to relax and enjoy the place.

“More than wonderful”

We loved absolutely everything about this place! The owner Fikry and his 2 sons are amazing hosts and the place is marvelous. It was great to get to see the temples almost alone as we went there in the afternoon.

The overall ambience was very warm. The room was excellent, as was the bathroom. The dining area was very well laid out. The food and service was excellent and the owner, as well as his son went out of their way to make sure that we didn’t miss the Light Show at the Ramses II temple.

Abu Simbel and being on the lake is amazing. The rooms mades of dawb are very nice. The kitchen helped our vegetarian. The sound of the birds is really nice.

“Good memories of Abu Simbel”

The owner and all the staff are kind like family. Even if you don't have a set plan, they will help you. There were no problems with the facilities.

Located right next to the lake. Easy to find.

We like the lodge as it resembles the nubian house. The experience of being part of the locals living in the barren, dusty, sunny but cold environment. The lodge is comfortable with minimum but clean facilities. Mostly, I like the staffs, very friendly and polite.

The new rooms are very neat and tidy, have good bathrooms and a view of the lake from the front terrace. We were in the last room (room 5 or 6) which was very quiet and room was clean and bed was comfortable. We had dinner which was good but was expecting something special from all the reviews. They very were helpful in organising a car to take us to the aswan airport for 80 USD. Good price. The communication via email before we arrived was really good. Friendly staff.
