The house is exactly as it looks in photos, very well kept, thoughtfully done and comfortable. The breakfast was home cooked and delicious. I would definitely recommend this stay

We were absolutely amazed to have a host like Ahmed who made our stay truly special. He has incredible knowledge about Abu Simbel and replies with 5G speed - sometimes he answers before we even finish typing! 😁 Important note: Don’t miss his mom’s homemade traditional meals - they are delicious.

“Needs some effort.”

On arrival host was simply interested in pushing tours and guest house food onto us. After being firmly told we didn't require any tours contact almost ceased The room was not in a very clean condition, the kitchen was really dirty, cockroaches in the bathroom. The only positives were, the bed was comfortable and guest house was in a decent location.. We only ended up here as we had previously booked the Onaty noubin and they messaged as we arrived saying they were closed and we needed to cancel. Erki was last minute and we had not read previous reviews.

The location was good. You can easily walk to Abu Simble Temples and the centre part. The accomodation has a lot of space. Communication with host is good.

Everything. The apartment was spacious, clean, with exellent wifi and AC, which was especialy usefull, becouse daily temeratures reached 37 degres Celsius.Ahmed was very nice and helped us with organising our activities. His mother is great chef and we ate some of the best food in our life.

Owner makes sure that you are taken care of and assigns someone to that you can WhatsApp if you need help. There’s a washer and a drying rack.

Very big area all for ourselves. You have your own living room, kitchen, bedroom (including tv with Netflix) and bathroom! In the fridge there were fresh fruits, water and other sodas for free. Everything was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was GREAT one of the best we had ik Egypt - fresh falafel/eggs/cheese everything! The host was friendly and helpful - you could ask and contact him for any advice/ticket/tours but he also leaves you do your own thing - not pushy as many other experiences we had in touristic places in Egypt.

The room is clean which is what we most care about. enough hot water. there are 4 rooms including bathroom, bed room, kitch and rest space with two sofa. The rooms smell very good because there is humidifier with perfume. Before we come to the room, the host have turned the air conditioning on to provide the best experience all times. The host is very nice. He even gave us a gift surprise before leaving. Full stars place

“Great stay at Erki Guest House”

Big and clean apartment with a comfy bed. The owner Ahmed is a lovely and helpful person. He booked everything we needed for our stay in Abu Simbel (temples, light show, French tour guide). Do not hesitate to have dinner onsite because the meal prepared by his mother was just delicious!

During my tour through Egypt I saw the inside of many hotel rooms. I have had very expensive rooms and also very cheap rooms. Traveled from Cairo to Luxor nasr Dendera to Aswan to Abu Simble to Hurghada. But one room that I remember most is Erki Guest House. The owner and his family are extremely hospitable and helpful with everything you need to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended for everyone, especially if you want to experience the warm hospitality of this Egyptian family. Super.

The location is good. You can walk 15-20 minutes to Abu Simbel temple. The place is very quiet and comfortable. The owner provide coffee, tea, fruits, and cold water for free. Breakfast is very rich in Egypt style. The owner provide any information you need. Everything is perfect and it is definitely recommended.

Erki House and owner Ahmed are amazing! The location is superb with a short walk to Abu Simbel. I can’t recommend enough staying at least 1 night in Abu Simbel and staying at Erki house! Ahmed is the definition of a great host and will go above and beyond to make sure you have an easy stay. I recommend letting him know what your plans are and he will help you with anything you need. Ahmed got me ticket to light/sound show and day ticket next day for Abu Simbel at same cost if you walk up to window but without hassle of purchasing one at temples. Erki house is spacious, clean and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning that is offered is authentic Egyptian made by his mom. I will be coming back to Erki house when I return to Egypt for sure! You will come as a guest and leave as family! Thanks Ahmed and Erki house!!
