“Luxury family resort with stunning grounds”

We had a wonderful stay at Azal Lagoon Resort in Abu Simbel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome by Safaa at reception, who went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed throughout our stay—thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. The resort itself is only about a year old, and it really shows in the quality and design. The villas are among the most luxurious we’ve ever experienced—spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, they have a lift! It’s an ideal destination for families, with a very safe and relaxed environment for children, and it also works perfectly for larger travel groups. The buffet breakfast was especially impressive, offering a wide variety of options to suit everyone. One thing to note is that the resort is about a 10-minute drive from the Abu Simbel temples, so walking isn’t really practical. However, transportation can easily be arranged through reception, which made everything very convenient for us. Lastly, the resort grounds and gardens deserve a special mention—they are absolutely stunning. The landscaping is vibrant, colorful, and meticulously maintained, creating a peaceful and visually beautiful atmosphere throughout the property.

Location is excellent - close to the Abul Simbel airport and the Temples. The hotel is on Lake Nasser with stunning views. Breakfast was good, the dinner and lunch menu are the same. The hotel organised for us to take a boat out at dawn to see the sun rise over the temples. Stunning - wrap up warm!

Room was amazing, very clean and spacious. Well equipped and excellent facilities. Great view of the Nile with balcony view including the pool. Overall amazing. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful all the time. Peter the Reception manager gave us great advice on arrival and made us feel very welcome. Had great experience at Abu Simbel as a result of his advice to see sunrise first (by boat) and adjust timings to miss the crowds - resulted in far superior and enjoyable experience. Felt really valued. Dinner and breakfast food was amazing, great choice. Service surpassed expectations and show cased high end hotel. Pool great. Complex not over crowded.

Well looked after - very big and comfortable

Very good location - close to the airport and a bit far from the town, which give you extreme quietness. Just at the bank of the lake with amazing view. The staff is very friendly and tries to help as much as possible. At the reception, in the bar or shisha corner, or in the restaurant - they always smile and tries to help! 👍 The hotel facilities are OK, even if a bit simpler than 5-star hotels in other places. We took a Lake-view suit and fully enjoyed it! Overall, we were happy we choose the place! Good luck 👋
