Overview
Set amidst the scenic Tennengebirge Mountains, this traditional farmhouse is 7 km from Abtenau. The spacious apartments all have a balcony overlooking the mountains. Free bicycle hire is available at the Schnitzhof. Featuring bright wooden furniture and floors, each apartment includes a kitchen or kitchenette with a dining area, a living room with satellite TV, and a bathroom. On request, a daily bread roll service can be organised. The property has its own Alpine hut where they produce a wide variety of cheeses. Guests can also buy these homemade cheeses on-site or request them for breakfast. The Schnitzhof’s garden includes BBQ facilities and a big children’s playground. Free private parking is available on site, and the internet terminal in the lobby can be used free of charge. The free ski bus stops 2 km away and takes guests to the Dachstein West Ski Area, 7 km away. The Postalm Ski Area is 15 km away.

It was wonderful place with the breathtaking views to the mountains and to the meadows. The house was really cozy. The landlady was very nice and kind and she was a living proof of true hospitality. Each morning she delivered fresh pastry (buns and bread) from the bakery and any time we wanted she also delivered fresh and delicious food (cheese, butter, bacon, sausages) for reasonable prices (actually, fairly good prices) straight from her farm. Professional coffee machine with really good bio coffee beans (free of charge) was available in the house during the whole stay. If you like coffee, you will definitely appreciate this. Very nice bonus was hot tub in front of the house that was also available anytime free of charge. We have been doing trips each day (the weather was perfect and the nature was tempting and irresistible), however, I can also imagine staying on the porch and relaxing all day long. If you are more active, the landlady will help you to plan your days just as you wish. I really recommend visiting her farm in the mountains. To cut a long story short, we loved our stay.
