Ideally located on Canto Beach in Vila do Abraão district, charming Pousada do Canto features a pool with a hot tub and panoramic sea views. Rooms are air conditioned. This guest house is on a quiet location, 500 metres from the island centre, where visitors find bars, restaurants and shops. Preta Beach and Poção Waterfall are 1,5 km away. Rooms feature tile floors and colourful regional ornaments. They all provide a TV and a minibar and some offer partial sea views. Buffet breakfast is served in a room that allows guests to watch the fishermen boats on the water. It includes a variety of tropical fruits, breads and cakes. Guests can enquire about trekking routes at the 24-hour front desk. Cars and motorcycles are not permitted in Ilha Grande, and exploring the island is done either by boat or on foot.

“Book only with cancellation”
Book with free cancellation as sometimes (often) it’s impossible to reach the property due to rain and weather. Customer support was unhelpful and we didn’t get any support from booking either.

The location was perfect, really close to all the right places, with just a short walk to get around easily. The staff were incredibly helpful and made a big difference in our stay, giving us all the information we needed for tours and activities. We truly enjoyed our time there. The pool was lovely, and the pousada itself was bigger than I expected, with more rooms than I had imagined. Breakfast was great, and I especially appreciated the little goûter moment with coffee and tea, it felt like a very thoughtful touch. I had seen some comments about noise beforehand, but honestly, it was completely fine during our stay.

“Good choice at the right place”
Location is perfect, far enough from the overcrowded town center, still just a five minute walk to it. Beautifully and conveniently located on beach front. There are several fantastic restaurants and bars less than 100 meter away. Breakfast was generous, staff friendly and available at all times. Beds are comfortable with firm mattress. Excellent shower.

Beach front location, newly refurbished. It was a very comfortable stay which was made extra special by Max and Augustine’s hospitality. They helped us with everything from trips to restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was great as was the unexpected new year’s eve snacks and complimentary in-room bubbly delivery. Breakfast was excellent plus the extra included afternoon tea and cake. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location right on the beach, easily accessible to the town and crossing but far enough to be calmed and relaxed. Modern and really clean.

We tried another hotel just near by, and the experience was better : bigger room, games room, beach racquets available, hamac in every room, better breakfast. I would not recommended this one

Great location- a little quieter out of town but a nice distance to walk to get to the main centre. The staff is really nice and the building was nice and modern.
